The X6 was before my time too and I like the design, although triple TIR vs single reflector make it quite a different light. However, I’ve tried the code a few times and it never brings the price down to $23.45. At the moment I’m getting $27.50 before shipping and tax.

The nichia one shows up right for me. The XP-L Hi version is a few dollars more. (The Cree tax)

Apparently this isn’t a new light. It seems to be a copy of the Mateminco X6s that’s been around for a few years.

The Nichia version does come down to $23.45. The code works for the X-PL HI version too but it’s starting from a higher price.

It got weirder for me when I learned that Energiser’s bunny is a copy of Duracell’s bunny. Makes me think it’s something akin to Patent trolling. If anyone was going to sue over that logo I thought it would be Playboy.

From memory, Duracell let the trademark expire, so it was ripe for the taking by Energizer.
