Imax B6 discharge capacity Error

Hi there,

when i discharge 18650s with my Imax B6 at 1amp it shows around 700mah after one hour.
My HTCR C150 shows the correct 1000mah using the same settings.
Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

Regards,

tatasal

There are numerous counterfeits of SkyRC Imax B6 hobby chargers going around, and should you have the genuine one, perhaps there is an issue in your specific unit.

Sounds like you might have the safety timer set to low.

Safety timer is off; i suspect there is something wrong with the unit. It might just be the software, i will try to flash the stock. If this fails i will take it to bits and check the internals.
Thanks anyway

Hmmmm …

@ 1 amp hour discharge rate , are you really discharging at 1A ( My first question ) Also the B6 does not like being under volted , what Power supply are you using ? Lastly , has the B6 been calibrated ?

Always remember , the easiest thing in the world to do , is to expel hot air from your lungs and through some vocal chords ..
The resulting sound may , or may not be worth listening too ….

My B6 mini isn’t accurate with current at all either. Should be authentic though.

Almost all B6 chargers need calibration …
Should be some youtube video out there on calibrating them . Once calibrated , they should be reasonably good for a budget charger .

They only offer voltage calibration which is easy to do, but I haven’t seen a way to calibrate current.
