Adjustable pinpoint light recommendation

Hi!

I’m looking for recommendations for a bit of a specialty light(?), one that can be focussed down to a pinpoint. I’ll be using it to bring out color and specular details of gemstones when photographing jewelry, hence the need for it to focus down to a pinpoint for shooting diamond rings and such. An example of use would be studio strobes set up to light a necklace, sometimes the way the strobe light hits the necklace does not bring out the specularity of the gemstone so the pinpoint flashlight would be focussed on the gemstone of the necklace to bring out the color/details that can sometimes only be seen when light hits the gemstone from a steep angle.

The light will be between 1 & 5 feet from the Jewelry and ideally would zoom from about 6 inches down to a pinpoint. It needs to be daylight balanced, 5000-5500K, and it needs to be pretty bright. Ideally it would be an LED with high CRI (Nichia 219?) with adjustable power levels, and it would be a small to medium sized.

I’m open to modifying, swapping components if need be.

I’m not familiar with the flashlight world so I’m open to any suggestion.

Thank you.

If you need a pinpoint from 5 feet away I think you’ll need a laser, not a flashlight. Acebeam is apparently working on a line of white lasers, but I have no idea of their CRI and they aren’t released yet.

How about Nitecore Gem Series, Gem8??

Ok, lets say it is 1-2 feet away.

That could be interesting, thank you for the link. In their promotion it looks like they are used right up against the gemstones. I will look into them and see if they will work for me backed off from the gems a bit. I am not finding them for sale anywhere however.
