I have a few 1xAA lights those can also accept 14500 LiIon's. I got an 2xAA extender for my Quark 123 and it work very well this way. I am hoping to find extenders for my 1xAA and CR123 3V lights and use some of them as a 2xAA or 1x17650 setup. Any idea if there is any extender or spare body fitting these lights?

SkyRay SA-1
Quark extenders were $20 so I hope there are extenders cheaper than this.
The Tank007 566 extender does not fit on the Ultrafire C3 SS.
I got the extender this week from Manafont, the 568 (the 566 and 568 use the same extender) is on the way from DX (ordered almost two months ago, the extender is ordered 2 weeks ago, DX can be very slow...).
I finally found a "5W" brand, 2xAA Nichia led flashlight here in EBay. This light has a 1xAA to 2xAA on it that fits really well on a SkyRay S-A1 and a Sipik s68.
I'll have to work up to 9pm today but I'll try to take a couple of pics when I get home.
It is a quality piece. Interesting, the light is quite decent too. Not a Cree bright beam but gives a light like low on my SkyRay :)
I bought two of this type of 1xAA + 2xAA lights and their parts match really good. I put two extenders on a KD 1xAA DIY body I had built with a no-name 3W, 20mm star, and a 2xAMC driver under it. It made a stick 3xAA light in seconds. A real Frankenstein, with parts from 4 different ligths.
No rattle, no gaps. But the tailcap side could be better with a couple of threads more. It works really well ths way. The same extender also works with Sipik S68 but I forgot to take a pic of it.
I re checked the tail threads on this extender. Well, although it has the same count of treads on the tail, the original threads on the SkyRay are higher to the front and go deeper into the cap. So infact you seem to have just a couple of threads in the cap with the extender. The original black tailcap coming with the cheap light is not bad in feel but I don't know if it can have a decent life with a higher current. Sorry if I caused higher expectations. I still use this 2xAA combo anyway.
Just to add that these little lights are actually surprisingly good for the money in their own right, so to speak.

Useably bright, and build seems way better than I was expecting. I snaffled the extension tube for my Sipiks and gave the remaining 1 X AA torch to my daughter, but I'm going to buy a couple more. It's one of those where you can't go wrong for the $, though QC at this price is probably variable.
