Recommendation for 1x18650 XP-L USB Light

Hi All,

I’m looking for an XP-L 18650 light with built in USB charging. So far, I’ve found the Zanflare F1. But my budget is between 15-18$.

Thanks

The Convoy S9 and Eagle Eye X2R are both nice USB rechargable 18650 lights. Zanflare F1 is nice too, but it is distinctly larger (yes, I said it, Lightbringer). That size gets you a larger reflector. It also can handle heat a little better, which comes in handy if you use the turbo mode.

Zanflare F1 and Nitefox UT20.

Got a few of F1s, and a newly-acquired UT20, both quite nice.

Both are dual-switch designs, too.

Derp. Sorry, both my suggestions are XM-L(2).

The USB charging is making it very hard - why do you need that?
A good USB Charger costs only a few $ https://www.gearbest.com/chargers/pp_650011.html?lkid=10943670

I own a bunch of external 18650 chargers. Need a light that will charge anywhere with the phones micro-USB cable. I don’t carry the external charger around.

check this thread….there are many recommendations…
of course you know, you can buy a LOT of lion chargers…hahaha
but people buy usb indeed for the comfort……! no?

I wish more lights had USB charging. Very convenient and muggle friendly when it comes to gift lights.

The Eagle Eye X2R (XML2 though) is a no brainer for the price - around $16 or less with coupons. Not a top performer though, but that avoids over heating issues too. Remember the light has to be turned on while charging. Try this one first i’d say.

The Zanflare F1 is rather large for a 18650 light and i find the double switch action quite confusing - i often find myself clicking the side switch and wondering why it does not work. Access to the USB port is not obvious either, although better protected then with a rubber cover. Price is significantly higher too - unless you manage to grab one under $20 on a flash sale or else.

F1 = 18 and change on amazon.

Whups, not’nymore. Was last night.

Another option is a battery with a charging port. Lumintop LM34C for example.

One of those tiny Folomov A1 chargers is also an option, if it can be tucked into current carry methods without being a bother.
