I re-did the epoxy. I still ended up with some bubbles but nothing too bad. I polished it a little this time but I’m not sure if I like it this way yet. If not it won’t be much to scuff it with fine sandpaper.
Bugger it! I don’t know why the second pic doesn’t show??? It comes from the same album.

Looks awesome mate.
Did you have to changer your tooling on the lathe seeing as Ti is harder then Aluminum?
I joined the flashlight group on Facebook and they sell custom lights like this 600+ USD its crazy.
Yeh, I burned through a couple of drill bits. One bit in particular was head and shoulders above the rest (12.5mm) but I didn’t pay attention to what it was made of when I bought it so I guess I’ll search google for what’s good for drilling titanium. The cutting bits I use are the carbide indexed bits and they were fine.
I’ve thought about joining that group just to see what it’s about but would rather not go through FB. Also I’m aware of what some torches go for on the other forum. I have some mokume waiting to be machined but anything I produce is not intended for sale on the outset.
If you can set up a coolant it makes all the difference in the world. I don’t have coolant set up and I, uh, well, kind of started a fire. Haven’t made anything in Ti since my EDC quad. Been awfully hot to do anything at all out there lately and it’ll probably be like that for the next 3 months or so. I won’t be able to stay away that long, but I really don’t have plans to do anything at the moment.
If it makes you feel any better, the great Photon Fanatic broke a bit drilling the chain hole in the tail of my Texas Poker. Happens to the best of us…

Lol, yeh, that does make me feel better. I know I have seen it before but it was interesting looking back on the Texas Poker. I guess I’m viewing from a different perspective now.
Before the epoxy change over I took a little video of the colour changing.
It’s nothing like the disco light you made a couple years ago djozz

What it used to look like-
What it looks like now-
OMG titanium AND blinky colours!!!
Lol, the gif’s I made are not very indicative. The colour change is more lava lamp style than blinky.
Nice flashlight you have there
Love the LED color and the shape of the host
Can’t see the new version
