Trustfire X9 does not have a spring at the driver. You can get the Trustfire X9 on ebay for almost the same price, probably shipped much faster than from DX.
Hello Fran,
I have got one with me, and there are few differences.
The pill is different, the one on X9 ends with brass and that one looks like is all alu.
The dissipating rings on the head, the X9 has 7 and that one looks like 6 if I did count correctly.
I cannot see the led on the star, but it looks like it is recessed on that one, and on the T9 it sits on top with a big and thick star, I think that is why that one has one ring less.
And mine has a black tail cap instead.
Thanks Yavi and joerch
So, DX one is not as good as the TF original one.
I cannot tell it is better or worse, maybe the pill design is better maybe not, the rest of differences doesn't look to be so important.
I've never received a good Small Sun product, but maybe that's just me.
I got a real X9 off ebay for the same price..but had to add a 4$ driver to make it what I wanted..
Yes, small sun is not as good as the other cheap chinese manufacturers as TrustFire Ultrafire Romisen etc...
Maybe is not a worth buy. Still I dont own a X9 or any X9 clone... I will have to continue waiting
It is a bit risky knowing the trustfire finishes are quite good for its price.
On the pictures it looks like threads are as good, but it is not that easy to know if from a picture.
Mine is DD until I receive the V2 driver from Kaidomain, because it was uderdriven, but not all X9 were underdriven, there are different batches.
Oh no, it reminds me the "UltraLottery"
Your not alone Small Sun have the lowest quality. Better to get the Trustfire X9
Right now the Trustfire X9 is $36.26 on Ebay.
Judging from DX pictures.
Since the pill is aluminium only, the driver can only be press-fit, not soldered.
The threads seem regular, while TrustFire makes them square.
I got my X9 from ebay for $34 with two batteries and a charger. I would look for the real deal.
