Straight Flood

So i know you guys answer the same question time and time again… maybe I’m just terrible at navigating this site! I apologize… but i feel the need to buy another flashlight and I’m new to this battery size and lovinggggg it. Is there a favorite for just straight flood? Looking for a non thrower that covers ALOT of area evenly. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

A lot of area evenly, to me that comes in 2 forms; zoomed out zoomie or mule. Idk of any 26650 mules though so no help there…

I do have a zoomie 26650 recommendation—JAXman Z1. Yes the pencil beam is cool to play with zoomed in but I use mine so much more in flood mode. Also a plus for flood mode (zoomed out) is how short the OAL of the light is. For a 26xxx body and a ~50mmØ head you can almost fully conceal the light in your hand, pocket carry is no problem and back to your “lot of area evenly”, well, let’s just say “wall of light” that’s perfectly even, no hot spot, no artifacts, just an even cone of light.

Check out this german forum post for beam patterns of various flashlights.

You can see the coverage, spill, hotspot and etc.

An aspheric will get you the absolute nicest even blanket of light. So yeah, a zoomed-out zooomie will work fine. A nice SK98 (18650) or SK68 (14500) would work.

The ’98 is a nice light, if welded to flood-only.

I’m just not a zoomie fan. I have a couple but i just wanted a simple flood with no zoom feature. I was hoping that existed.

Like what was posted above, the Haikelite MT03 modded by TA has one of the smoothest, most even flood beam ever and is extremely bright. It is best for indoor use because it is so floody. I had TA modded 3 of them for me.

Zebralight?

How about an Astrolux S41 Nichia version with the TIR lens removed, turning it into a mule. I’ve tried it and it still seals perfectly. Beautiful even flood, full range of A6 outputs, only issue is heat on the highest outputs.

You might want to check Rofis MR70, 3500 lumens of cold white flood + 200 lumens of warm white all-flood.

It’s powerful enough, pocketable, feels great to the hand and it’s beautiful. It’s a perfect little light, became a favorite the minute I got it.

Seconded wholeheartedly!!

I own several flashlights. The Rofis MR70 is very well made. Awesome quality.

Maybe a little more than you are looking to spend , and a little larger than you want (soda can style) , but the Olight X7 or X7R Marauder are both flood monsters with 9000 lumens for the X7 or 12000 lumens for the X7R.

I have the X7 and for a floody wall of light it is pretty awesome.

and at 70 yards from far treeline in center of shot………………

Buy an S2+ and DC-Fix the lens .

There you go .

The new Fireflies ROT66 w/Nichia 219b is pretty nice. 3*18650, about the size of a mini coca cola can, and about 4500lm. Just under $100

Thanks guys, i went with the rofis mr70. I never had this brand so on excited to try it out. I also plan on trying out some of the other suggestions. Thanks again!

MR70 is a great light, not the floodiest but probably the best considering price, features, build quality, styling and output.

The Acebeam X80-GT and Emisar D4 with frosted optic are my fave “180 degree” flooders, Zoomies don’t tend to put light at your feet which ruins the flood effect.

The Convoy 36mm diffuser works beautifully with the MR70 for the ultimate flood.

Haikelite MT03 21000 lumen in the ratio quality price is the best and the flloodiest.

You won’t regret it. It earned its “first to reach” status, fighting hard my SRT9, since day one
