Banggood is A FRAUD BE CAREFUL!!!

Hey guys, This company is a JOKE. I purchased flashlight from them. I purchased insurance just to be safe. Well apparently I was right to do so. Lens came cracked, shipping box flap covers broke off. Needless to say I was irritated.

I contacted BG directly via e mail. Their reply ” Did you buy it from us, hoe etc… ? ” I paid via Paypal so of course!!! Duh?

I contacted Paypal claim. PP said to send back ,pay for return shipping to get refund. Mind you I bought insurance at point of purchase.

BG REFUSED to refund due to some sort of custom duties of item. Of which they expected me to pay? GET LOST BG.

Then why sell if you are not going to honor insurance by refund or replacement?

The post here to warn BLF members about this RIP OFF company.

Moral of story is BE CAREFULL with Banggood and STAY AWAY!!!

You are not the first or last to be screwed by them, people will still always purchase from them because of the cheap cost of goods. Good luck convincing anyone else here of that. I believe their insurance only covers lost parcels and they could give a crap about any other issue, sorry for your luck. The best you can do is not purchase from them and send the FTC a complaint about PayPal and the relationship between Banggood and them. I once complained to the FTC about a bank and received $300 dollars back almost a year later, so they can help.

Yeah, I chose not to support banggood, astrolux, or manker. Some of the astrolux flashlights seem really good, but I was told that the quality is not always consistent.

The sad part is I really like my MF02 even after all this crap, it is a good host at least. Luckily I have the skills to fix these issues but most consumers would not. But avoid business with Banggood at all costs. Most of their influence is from providing free flashlights for review, and most honest reviewers (many on this forum) are not swayed or biased in their opinion but others are and it undercuts this commmunity. Even if a reviewer isn’t biased in their review, they can still bias a user to buy a flashlight they otherwise would not have.

Well most of the time everything runs smooth with Banggood. But if you run into trouble, you’re pretty much screwed. But this is not exclusive to Banggood, but with all of the china sellers. I’ve had my fair share of customer service experiences.
So either you want to save some bucks and accept a shitty customer service or you pay more and buy from a national seller.

I respectfully disagree, eBay for example will almost always take care of the issue even if purchased from a Chinese seller on their platform. It is ultimately the corporation and not always the vendor on that platform who decides, I believe that is why Aliexpess does a good job comparatively. I think this is an issue Jack Ma understands. But Banggood has no vendors who sell independently for a service fee and they have every incentive to keep every penny even on defective goods.

Check out their affiliate program, it shows you how freeme and other users can make a living. 12 percent is good money.

PayPal always sided with me in my claims against Banggood. Never had to ship anything back. Has PayPal changed?

I had a problem with Gearbest and then someone told me there was a gearbest rep on this forum. She took care of my problem right away and I have never had a problem since and they have been great. I think there is also a Bangood rep on this forum too if I remember well and they will probably make it right for you.

I can not speak for anyone else, but it seems PayPal has recently made a big push to new Chinese companies that never used them before and I have to assume that is one concern Chinese sellers brought up with them. I have never had this issue before May of this year.

Yep. Paypal will not issue refund. No problem. I will contact my credit card company.

I’ve bought items from then for coupla yrs now. Up to around $95 per item.
Around a dozen.
Problems with one. Contacted the agent on here. Fixed. n
ew replacement in mail following day.
NOT A PROBLEM for me I found, so far.

Count yourself lucky guy.

There is many sides to Banggood, and the other chinese sellers, so I developed many sides for myself. I could have stopped buying from them after my first clash with their CS, but I went on dealing with them. Everything added up it was to my advantage.

And as a flashaholic I like how their Astrolux flashlight brand / Mateminco company is stirring up the flashlight industry, picking up new developments on BLF faster than anyone else, not always great quality but I’m sure they inspired the A-brands to become faster too.

But if I would be Jaxman I’d be furious too, luckily I’m not a flashlight manufacturer.

Purchased a ton of stuff from BG and some of the stuff has been crap/faulty and so far they have either refunded fully or resent the item provided I sent them a video description and a photo of the shipping package. However they have only once accepted my critical reviews in which always go into details of the problems. PS it always helps if you are polite and constructive - which seems not to be the case with OP.

aliexpress is pretty good about refunds
you may have to send pictures but i have never had them refuse a refund

wle

I have read on other forums to video record yourself opening all the packages that comes from china and test the product upon opening. It would serve as undeniable proof that the damage was not cause by you. It sucks that banggood shipping insurance is a scam.

Thank goodness for credit card chargebacks. I hope paypal does not retaliate against you mmalive. I’ve read that some users got banned from paypal for chargebacks. Since paypal does not protect you against gearbest, banggood, and etc I guess I will just only shop at aliexpress or non-chinese stores.

I had the same issue with some BLF drivers i bought they didn’t work proper and PayPal sided with me but wanted me to send items back at my cost. Shipping would of cost a lot more then the item so i had to wear it.

Have not bought from them since!

Time to buy a new lens for a few dollars and have your stress level go way down:

I would just request a replacement lens if possible at their cost.

Especially since you bought insurance, parts that are easy to replace by the customer should be instantly paid and sent the part in question.

Out of all the companies in china selling lights, Tmart, Lightmalls, Fasttech, Banggood and Gearbest, I have had the least trouble with Bangood in getting what I ordered or refunds if I didn’t. Paypal is a must though.
Aliexpress on the other hand is a complete Joke in reference to refunds. Even when indisputable evidence shows you have received a faulty product or counterfeit item, they still side with the seller!! A great deal of the sellers on Aliexpress won’t accept PayPal and that is no coincidence.
