Again, ask Sofirn via PM.

I do not know why not everyone got a code who should have gotten a code. I hope it is a simple mistake and it is not related to availability, which would not be fair.

You can ask Sofirn (seems like Tracey is using the account), but I will mail Barry too.

Not too big a deal if I didn’t get one as this would have just been an impulse buy for me – was more so providing the info as reference for others. I’ll leave whatever coupon code I was supposed to get for some other lucky individual.

There is plenty of stock on the Aliexpress store. Feel free to order there if you want.

If I wanted to go that route I would have already done so. The appeal of this GB was the price and availability via Amazon US.

The price is the same between Aliexpress and Amazon US.

Just order on Amazon. I don’t understand your not wanting to. The only real advantage I can think of for ordering on Amazon was faster shipping (I was wrong on this point) and ease of return if it somehow were to be defective. Maybe better tracking info. That’s about it as far as I can tell.

Them are some pretty good advantages. I go out of my way to use Amazon if I can, even paying a few bucks more sometimes. Faster shipping. Who doesn’t like that. Easy returns. Every try returning something to China on your dime? It’s like trying to sneeze and fart at the same time. You can do it but it’s going to be a mess. Better tracking. Chinese tracking is hit or miss at best. God love their good prices and large selection but, I only use the Big Three Chinese when I have to. Smile

I received the PM and the code but I’ll elect not to purchase the Sofirn Q8. Just decided its not a light I need. Thanks for all the work.

Sofirn closes down about 9am or 10am Central USA time zone. They will be opening back up in the next couple hours, around 9pm to 10pm. You can’t expect any replies during non work hours.

I say this because it seems people expect them to answer 24 hours a day. They can’t.

The driver is 15$ and 4 xpl emitters have to be worth 3-4$ each ...

Ask yourself if the bezel ,reflector, heatsink ,lighted switch, springs, glass, body and shipping are worth 10$ to you ?

got my code last night and ordered today

Umm…. if that’s what you think they pay for those components…. You need to re-evaluate your numbers.
There is NO WAY they pay NEAR those amounts for said components in an industrial/commercial quantity.

Why would you assume he’s talking about the manufacturers cost?
He’s refering to the retail costs, the price you and I would pay since that is what is relevant to us.

I simply had to do the math on this light personally for me to buy it . I know that even a decent tube light host is usually  about $10 and figured there was no way I could get a Q8 host with what I consider nicer looking knurling or anything close to that kind of money .

I said it to convince people on the fence to grab one of these lights . The driver alone is worth the price of the light .

If I just wanted the better knurling and the bottom part what do you think the cost would be ?.$10+.

I wouldn't ship half a light half way across the globe for less than 10$

You're right I shouldn't be thinking out loud on the forum or worrying about what other people do or don't do .

Shut-up and buy it   Silly

 Thanks for doing this .

I'd told Djozz that I had plans in the works just a few weeks ago to see if we could simply do a reboot of the original Q8. I was surprised to see that someone else had the same idea...Brilliant minds think alike  Smile

+1… It is a great deal!! .. Thumbs Up

And as far as your “thinking out loud” Boaz, no need to apologize….. I like the way you think. Thumbs Up

Personally, what I find somewhat comical; are the ‘announcements’ by some that because they have/had not yet received their Code they are no longer interested in the light.
I guess they might not realize it takes a while to send individual codes to each person.

The CODE is a ‘one time use code’.

Did you try to buy more than one?

If so did the code not work for the discount on more than one??

when you try and select more then one on AZUS it “alerts” and says “due to limited supply by seller, limit one light per perchance” but you can buy as many as you want, just one at a time, and once you use a code, ANY code, you can not use a code again for that listing.
