I’ll diddo what G.P. said. I have three PL47s, a black 4000K XPL HI, a black 5000K XPL HI and one of the champagne 4000K SST20s and I use the heck out of them. My go to is the 4000K XPL HI because I enjoy the color the most. However, the 5000K XPL has the widest spill which I really like as well so I find myself reaching for it when I’m gonna be out in the yard just doin general stuff after dark. The SST20 doesn’t get used nearly as much as the other two but is still a good addition to the collection. If indeed they are working on a V2, I’ll be excited to see what improvements they come up with.
It stopped working all together and I almost beat this light with a hammer. I used the copper wound around the tail cap and it worked. So much time has been wasted just trying to get this thing to turn on.
My God…I have been spoiled with Zebra/Emisar. It’s terrible because the idea of this light is fantastic. It’s sad that they lost my future business.
Is your light ON or OFF? 7 clicks only works when light is OFF.
Quote:
Aux LEDs / Button LEDs
----------------------
Some lights have aux LEDs or button LEDs. These can be configured to do
different things while the main emitters are off. There is one aux LED
mode for the regular "off" mode, and another aux LED mode for "lockout"
mode. This allows the user to see at a glance whether the light is
locked.
Aux LED modes typically include:
- Off
- Low
- High
- Blinking
To configure the aux LEDs, go to the mode you want to configure and then
click the button a few times:
- Off mode: 7 clicks.
- Lockout mode: 3 clicks.
Edit: I might of misunderstood the UI. I must of confused it a bit. I THINK I have it figured out now. But how do I choose between ramped and smooth?
Ok it’s 3 clicks from the on position. Sorry, I have had this flashlight for like 2 months and finally got around to working on it. Appreciate the help.
Yup, three fast clicks as indicated on the top left hand corner of the diagram. Take you time to familiarise with modes.

I hope they improve the button’s quality. Fireflies buttons doesn’t feel as good to click as the buttons on Emisar flashlights… Sometimes the FF buttons are “mushy” to click.

Switch button on PL47G2 is greatly improved, which is even much better than the newest E07 button.
FireFlies, how about your quality assurance? I was unlucky enough to receive faulty PL47 twice (more info ). Having this balast of experience I’m struggling with myself. On one hand this is a great project and a headlight that ticks most boxes for me, on the other… I need tons of trust for you to make another order.

Is the switch boot different? It looks the same and that was the failure point on my last light.
Interested in this version 2. I liked the first one despite of its flaws and issues. Hopefully these come with easier to remove bezel. I had to break the lens to change leds in my first one. Or maybe more emitter choices? I think i’d like 3000K sst-20s or 7A xpl-hi.

What is the size of the glass in PL47?
I broke mine some time ago and want to find a replacement.

New PL47 Gen II with some design updates.
Some of the differences noticed:
SS bezel is much thicker like Nitecore HC30.
Sharp edges on head have been smoothen.
Larger HOT warning logo.
etc
@1theDeals
Screw on bezel this time?

My last one was rubbish and only 3 LEDs worked, but I’m willing to give you guys another chance if the price is right

Interested in this second generation of PL47, ¿price with code?
scrolled through not enough. thanks
Interested but conflicted if I should buy this though or Astrolux’s new headlight since it also runs Anduril.. This looks better IMHO though.
Very different lights, this is larger, heavier and a quad that supports 21700.
HL1 is single emitter + reflector and only an 18350 tube has been shown so far.
Yeah I had that in mind but still conflicted.. Guess I’ll just get both
Interested depending on price
Is the battery tube long enough to not crush cells like some people complained?
Will this also come in champagne color like the first version?
