Yello from Oregon!

Hey all! Name’s Josh. Love collecting all kinds of stuff and blowing my money on things I’ll either break, lose, or fail to see the value in until after I’ve sold them. Lol

Anyway, have collected flashlights in the past, without any aid from others, mostly just Amazon junk, but have actually come to love a few. Will likely start getting back into them again, as I’ve begun building bug out bags for the girlfriend I.

I came here primarily to discuss budget knives though, as the only other forum I’ve found discussing knives is all about spending hundreds to thousands each blade or you’re ridiculed, let alone they aren’t okay with clones, which I have nothing against at all.

Anyway, look forward to chatting with and learning from you all.

Favorite watch: Sold long ago, but currently the Doxa Sub5000t, I think that’s the one I kept anyway. Lol real favorite obviously. Maybe it’s actually the Seiko Marine Master Spring Drive 600M GMT? I wear them the least anyway, so yeah, likely the case.

Favorite gun: Sold both of them, ugh - regretfully, but I really enjoy shooting my KelTec PMR30. Hard to argue with 30 rounds of 22mag! Awesome home defense gun.

Favorite knife: For folders, Kershaw Blur S30V, or maybe LAPG TBFK (S35VN for $35!). For fixed blade, unequivocally the Terava Jääkäripuukko in carbon steel (honorable mention to the CRKT Onion Skinner - unmatchable D2).

Favorite sharpener: Lansky sharpening system, diamond stones, with mount base. Special credit to a close second, the Spyderco Tri-Angle Sharpmaker.

Favorite flashlight: let the girl choose what she wanted from my meager collection for her bug out bag, she chose all of them. Lol Man of my word, so now I’m left starting fresh (this is where you guys come in)… Hint hint wink wink

Favorite lighter: not even sure if I still have them, but I did collect several a while ago. Not really a zippo guy though. Was mostly into cigar torches. Matter of fact, I don’t give a single hoot about them, might offer up as give away items some day, if this place pans out for me.

Most recent knives: pretty much all of them, I just got into it again after a long watch collecting hiatus. But I’m today was a Stone River ceramic piece. I’ve been wanting to try a small ceramic blade for a fixed EDC. They stay sharp for ever almost and man are they sharp!!! Just don’t drop it - weak like glass, but cuts like it too.

Thanks for joining the gang, BeyondTheBox!

Thank you for having me.

PS, love that series of movies. Even bought a couple of airsoft guns that mimic some of the ones used in them. Very very cool looking! That’s about realm I forgot to mention that I collected at one time. Lol
