[4k Review] BLF GT mini ...I took it to a dangerous place

I really like this light, I hate the design of the BLF GT but for some reason it really works in this mini form.
Only complaint is it’s hard to do youtube reviews when it doesn’t ramp to turbo because I’m so used to my 5 D4’s. I kept having to re-shoot. The aluminium seems really soft too, I dropped it on the road and it put a right gouge into the body.

…and not all light are under the manufacturer’s claims!!! 1200 ANSI bang on, more @ turn on!

This video you have shared here is very awesome because it explains all the details BLF GT Mini with so precision. Always maintain this high quality in your upcoming posts. Your blog is a superb platform to get some good knowledge. I have only one question how do you like that light vs. a C8?

I was bit upset with your video this time as I expected a dramatic ending with mean aliens coming your way again. Evil So, what else is dangerous about this place?

Ok, joking aside: Great video as usual! Thumbs Up

Streets ahead of the Convoy, smaller, brighter, sexier, far betterUI, but I do like the Sand colour of the C8+

The conversation in the dangerous place is between a guy and his mentally challenged younger brother. The younger brother was physically and mentally tortured before hanging himself way before the video was shot.
In the conversation you can grasp that the older brother had no love for him either.

“when they were torturing him was he screaming my name?”

“yeah”

“He still is”

Thanks for the very nice review. That’s one of the nicest video review, I like it. The music, the comparisons, the scenes, those brother conversations, the kooo kooo… sound, etc…

Anyway, be careful man. Last Sunday, my brother in law got beaten so badly in a quite place just like that by a crazy mad man just because he refused to hand him his wallet. Mild concussions, bruises, broken nose, and some stitches. And guess what? That was in Montreal, the place where such event is unlikely to happen.

Thank you.

The trail is designed for bikers so I don’t see many people on there at night, the creepy walkway actually spans 100’s of miles.

My camera has recorded strange noises down there but I have to turn audio way down in editing due to the horrid wind noise so it’s not audible on my reviews.

Thanks a lot for this link. Now, I have more to discover next time I visit UK Wink

The northernmost place in the UK I have been so far is Manchester/Liverpool and the High Peak District N.P.. There’s a nice lake called Carsington Water (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carsington_Water) north of Derby I used to walk along last year (takes approx. 2-2.5 hours to surround). By that time I did not have any interest into flashlights yet, so I got to return to this beautiful place when it’s dark. Big Smile

I’ve been to Castleton a few times in the Peak District which is fairly nice.

To be honest even though I only live a few 100m from it, I’ve only ever been on the path once for recreational use!
In just 20 miles or so the trail would take me to the beautiful Longdendales in the Pennines but I prefer to drive there in the WRX.

I’d love to do the West Highland Way in Scotland, that would be something special. Nowhere in England or Wales gets close to the Highlands in my opinion, I’ve spent many days there up on the hills.

Impressive light for the size certainly.

It’s rare that I watch flashlight videos all the way through, but yours are quite mesmerizing! I like how there’s no talking and no time spent on silly things like the box, the lube, o-rings, lanyards, etc!

Frequently used lights:

Emisar D4SV2 | Amutorch AT40 | Lumintop FW3A | Fireflies E07 | Skilhunt H04 | Convoy S2+ | Solarstorm X2 | NiteRider Lumina 1200 | Makita LXLM03 | Jetbeam Mini-1

Thanks, my reviews are pretty much self-indulgent, I don’t use lanyards, pocket clips, holsters or care that much for candela so I tend not to mention those in detail.
