Is this normal practice? Last month I ordered $65 dollars worth of Q5's and 36v constant voltage driver from DX. It now makes me question which cree's they sent me. I understand mistakes do happen but if they happen often I'll seek another supplier. I was looking forward to the 16 mode only to get the 5 mode.
It writes 7612 on it. The common practice of DX is that looks of the goods may change but the specs may stay the same. Sometimes current ratings change with flashlights or sizes or the limits of the drivers but never had a problem with the modes. Are you sure the circuit board you got is not the 16 mode one? The one I got had 3 groups and they changed if you stayed long enough on the low to see a blink.
