Advice needed - Thrower, USB, Neutral/Hi CRI for animal spotting

Hi,

I need a thrower please, USB chargeable, Hi CRI or Neutral if possible please. not too expensive, preferable if it comes with a battery fitted as part of a package.

Thanks!

Trunite Catapult V6 NW may be? Not Hi CRI, but I doubt there is such in production. Zebra SC600HI is 4500K, 80CRI, but relatively small and not thrower in my books.

How expensive would you consider “expensive”?

Nitefox UT20 isn’t too CW, pretty throwy for a tubelight, 20bux or so if I recall right.

Nitecore MH20GT, nice white as well, hella bright and throwy, 70bux with code.

Both are usb-rechargeable, EDCed both for quite a while, like ’em both a lot.

Hard to get NW+hiCRI in a dedicated thrower, though, unless you wanna do an emitter-swap.

Alternative is to forget the usb-rechargeable and get a cell with onboard usb charging.

Oh yeah, both the Nitecore and Nitefox can be bundled with cells+cable.

KDLitker has a C8 format light with a Nichia 219C in NW with CRI92. Less than $20. You can check it out HERE.

Thanks, I’d see the Catapult V6 however I’m in the UK and they don’t seem to supply direct. Buying on IN the UK is a wee bit extortionate considering the rest of the world prices…….

May look on the classifieds or put a WTB out though, thanks again!

Thanks!

Thanks, is it USB chargeable do you know? that’s pretty much a must have feature if I’m honest.

Thanks for the replies so far, I’m also open to other battery types……… Have now discovered the Lumintop ODL20 or whatever it’s called. Strong contender in every area!
