Test/review of LG 18650 F1L 3350mAh (Purple)

LG 18650 F1L 3350mAh (Purple)

Official specifications:

  • Nominal capacity: 3350mAh

    Minimum capacity: 3250mAh

    Nominal voltage: 3.63V

    Maximum charge voltage: 4.20V +/- 0.05V

    Maximum charge current: 0.5C (1625mA)

    Standard discharge current: 0.2C (650mA)

    Maximum discharge current: –20°C ~ 5°C: 1625mA, 4°C ~ 50°C: 4875mA

    Operating temperature: Charge: 0°C 45°C, Discharge: –20°C 50°C

This is high capacity cell from a older generation.

The two cells tracks fairly well, but cannot do more than 7A (That us fine for a 5A rated cell).

Conclusion

This was a good high capacity cell some years ago, but it lacks the current ability of modern chemistry.

Vapcell told me that I was missing some cells in my comparator and they would be happy to supply them.
