Astrolux FT02 ??

Anybody have one of these in their hands yet?
Astrolux is claiming 2200+ lumens (probably more like 2,000)
180,000 CD?
848M beam distance?

This light form with slight variations has been done by Manker, Utorch and now Lumintop (ODL20C0) but with the 26650 cell. I like the Lumintop best and is brighter than the others! Buuutttt….

This light appears to have a sightly different head
It and takes a 21700 cell
Stepless dimming
On-board charging like the others…

This is a thread where that light was announced (long time ago) but only new sees the light : ENDED.

Just tested tail cap amps on mine. 10 amps on turbo with Samsung 50E. Drops to 3.5 amps after 70 seconds. It also seems to ramp up to turbo without double tapping? Would like to see more info on UI.

That’s odd, when did you get it? “stepless dimming” is what they usually call either Narsil or Anduril so it’s a little concerning to see that term used with proprietary firmware.

Ordered from Banggood on January 2nd, received on January 16.

I'm doing a review on the FT02.. Its doing 21800 lumens and 188kcd. If you'd like to see some data, see here: https://1lumen.com/18650-reviews/astrolux-ft02/

I have received both of the models I ordered. I am VERY satisfied. In comparison to my Lumintop ODL20C, it’s equal or slightly more output in various beamshots comparisons. I like the 21700 grip better than the 26650. Step-less dimming is nice and double click to Turbo is easy. I have not tested the charging yet but expect it to be adequate.
I’ve used the yellow Liitokal 21700 cell (Lii-40A) and the sofirn 4000 mAh 20Amp. Both have good run-times. I have Turbo step-down at over 100 seconds and It’s not hot so I hope future models extend that.
I think Astrolux got this one right and it appears to produce at or near what the MFR claims for output are which is refreshing.
Very good buy under $50!

Got mine in neutral light 2 days ago. Nice distance with large hot spot. It’s my first Astrolux and I’m very pleased.

The FT02 has a bigger hotspot than the ODL20C . So I’m not sure if that makes the Lumintop look brighter at far range. As far as my eyes can tell , they are really close . To be fair, my FT02 is NW , and the ODL is CW , so that’s probably playin with my perception also . I don’t get 2000 lumins , more around the 1800 ChibiM is showing .

Banggood claims that it charges at 1A. ChibiM sees 0.15A. Maybe this is a matter of USB adapter?

Can anyone chime in on the charging performance in their setup?

Charging first batch of retail version with my old Xiaomi 10000mAh powerbank 2. Samsung 30Q 3.7V with stock 21700 adapter inside.

Thanks freeme! Actually it looks like roughly 2A to the cell if the cell is almost empty. Am I right?

Unfortunately it doesn’t tell how the UI works, thats just the part i am interested in
I have to admit, i like the looks of this Astrolux light

Review is in progress :D

I'm using a regular USB Power Adapter for charging

I found with the SP36 that the type of adapter and the cable matters a lot. With a short Blitzwolf cable and Blitzwolf adapter (I think they are pretty good quality) I get 2A charging, while on an average adapter with average cable I get 0.95A charging.
