Refund granted on the two K64's. It went through the process quick, but required submitting a pic so I just took a pic of the cells with my notes.

Ancient history by now, but I won one (two?) of the 850s back last July in a giveaway but never got ‘em.

I still got a bevy of 16340 lights I wanted to load up with decent cells, but never got anywhere with that.

Especially my i332s that could benefit from decent 16340s, ‘though the come-with Wuben cells seem pretty good.

So what’s the consensus on decent 16340s… at least those that can be gotten relatively easily?

Had to goggle it, https://budgetlightforum.com/node/73472 . No pix, model numbers, etc., for the 850s in question. So I take it those aren’t the white 800s, right?

I measured my Nitecore NL166 with >4A for a blink on that 15mm MNT FET+1 driver / Osram WF2. It’s my most powerful 16340, but I have only this one and don’t know if there’s a significant variance, also cannot do professional measurements.

Edit:

The 6A Vapcells are now listed on AE. Ordered two Blushing .

Hello, this white 16340 has been out of production for a long time

At present, vapcell 16340 650mah 6A T6 battery has just been launched, which is also white

If there is a demand, you can consider purchasing

Any reason for that, Dennis? The other cell had higher capacity and current! Was there any suply issue or security?

The old version of white battery was customized and researched by vapcell alone in cooperation with the battery factory, but the sales volume was too small for the battery factory to bear, and the factory had to rely on large sales volume to make money

So it has stopped production

The flashlight Market is too small, and the sales of high power batteries are not optimistic

Vapcell 14500 1000mah 10A also encountered such a low sales situation
Hope the future will be better

Vapcell T8 and T6 can meet the needs of high capacity and high power flashlight users

Welcome to purchase Smile

That’s sad to hear.

So that means we’re not going to see the Vapcell 800mAh 16340 7A (white) anymore in the future. HKJ reviewed it here:
https://budgetlightforum.com/node/67557

And the same will be true for the Vapcell H10 1000mAh 14500 battery – we may soon not see it anymore? HKJ reviewed it here:
https://budgetlightforum.com/node/73119

Are there other (special formulated) Vapcell batteries that will not be produced anymore in the near future?
Eg. is Vapcell T50 still going to be produced? How about the rewrapped Sony VTC5D (Vapcell 2800mAh black) or the Sony VTC6A 18650?

Hi

Hi, some batteries are available. If the production capacity is too low, there will be the possibility of out of stock or shutdown

Vtc5d(Vapcell 2800mAh black) is in small stock, unit price is very expensive

18650 vtc6a is expected to be available again, and it is expected to be updated next week

T50 batteries out of stock, hope there will be new arrival

With the continuous progress of lithium battery technology, there will be better batteries facing the market in the future

Hope everyone has confidence in the future

Vapcell will continue to provide customers with high-quality cells in the market

thank you Smile

The Vapcell T8 (purple) is 16340 850mAh (3A rating) = still in production
The Vapcell white is 16340 800mAh (7A rating) = to be discontinued, per my understanding
The Vapcell P1608 is a 16340 800mAh with built-in USB charging port (? A rating)

Ah, great summary, tnx!

Dunno if the Wuben would benefit from a high-drain cell, so might as well just keep the come-with cell.

It is sad if the 14500 1000mah 10A is discontinued. That is such an excellent cell. The biggest issue is that besides the FWAA, there really aren’t any flashlights that can take advantage of this beast of a battery. There needs to be more multi emitter 14500 flashlights for this battery sales to take off.

agreed! I am running the epoch 10amp / 1000mah cell in all 10 or so of my 14500 lights, and they are great! I am pretty sure they must be rewrapped vapcell's. And they are fantastic

I got 2 of what I think were H10s (blue or purple?), and visually, there was little to no difference in my GTmicro vs the cheepcheepcheep EBL 14500s. Even 900lm vs 1000lm isn’t that much of a difference except on a meter.

More lights need to be able to use that extra oomf, at least enough to make a difference.

Dennis, with the T50 back, will that price come down? You bumped up the price 50% from $24/pair, in November, to $36/pair. In October, they were $22/pair.

I will second this request, Dennis. I am ready to order (like many people), but the $18 per each is a big hurdle to overcome...

Anything with a fet driver (fet+1, etc) with a low vf led or multiple leds. I have some of those epoch 10A 1000 mAh in my FWAA and it screams, almost 2100 lumens (for a few seconds). I use it in my TG06 with fet dr9ver and its noticeably brighter than with the shockli 5A 14500.

Hello

Recently, due to the shortage of batteries, the price has risen too much. Our purchasing cost is too high, and the freight of overseas small parcels is also relatively expensive. You can try to contact the local wholesalers to purchase, and reduce the freight due to the large quantity

You can also buy a variety of batteries in vapcell store and tell BLF members that they will give you a discount

We hope the cost will come down and the price will return to the previous level

If there is good unit price information, we will update it

Lithium atoms are all the same, so making more good cells is just a complex engineering problem, not an physics problem.

Wait, is there a BLF discount at the Vapcell store? Ali tacks on our hefty 8.625% sales tax as well, out here on Long Island (NY is 4%, Suffolk cty is 4.65%).

You’re lucky we in the UK get taxed 20% which aliexpress take don’t know how the UK government get of that.

Ouch! Just checked US states/cities and looks like quite a few places are at a higher rate than LI, some over 10% - didn't realize that.

There should be a Tom E discount when he’s ordering from AliExpress Party

I ordered 2x T50 previously because of Tom E’s comments on BLF about it being good. Thumbs Up

My order of Vapcell K64 26650 finally arrived (order date: April 3, 2021 ; arrival date: June 11, 2021 ; a bit over 2 months is still acceptable for batteries considering the hoops they have to go through in the postal system.  I have another order of different batteries from a different AliExpress store that is still in limbo... no tracking update for more than 2 months now]

However, the results are not good. Out of 8pcs K64, only 1 piece is above 3.0v (3.77v). 1 piece is around 2.1v.

All the rest 6 pieces are below 1.0v, with the lowest having just 0.14v.

Vapcell K64 arrived voltages:

0.145v,

0.166v,

0.353v,

0.364v,

0.495v,

0.856v,

2.128v,

3.774v   <= only this one is above 3.0v, but still need to test if it will self-discharge

Don't waste any more time - they know they are bad and will give you a full refund without issue, least they did that for me.

I am still watching my Vapcell K64 26650. The battery came to me a normal voltage of 3.7V. I charged them several times and used them in a flashlight, the battery still behaves as serviceable. The capacity has not been tested, it takes too much time with my charger.
Are your serviceable Vapcell K64 26650 performing well? Are they still working properly?

Sorry for my poor english.

I had two, one would not hold a charge. I may still use/try the other but will watch it carefully - I'd say 50/50 chance it won't last too long.

My first order from the Vapcell store in Jan. took 13 days by sea to reach Manila from Taiwan. My orders on April 9 and 17 just shipped last week after 7 and 8 weeks when I found they had not been shipped and opened a dispute.

I want to be able to order from the vapcell store but don’t want to deal with shipping issues. I’m confused about how it works there. There seem to be different vendors and shipping charges but all orders seem to be shipped by the same person who seems to be in a little over her head to say the least. I’m wondering if there’s any alternative.

I asked for tracking numbers several times when I was waiting and got a few invalid (fake?) numbers but she never told me the orders had not even shipped. When I tried to use their tracking a Taobao page would open.

My worst experience with Aliexpress yet.

I feel sorry for people who don't have a hobby or interest to escape to.
