Emisar D4S 5000k XP-L HD vs XP-L Hi

Hi All

First post, thanks for having me.

Recently discovered Emisar lights. Long time Zebralight and Olight fan.

So far have a D1, D1S and a D4.

This round…… D4S but I noticed on Nov 9th they have added a XP-L HD option in the 5000k tint range. 5100 lumens :open_mouth:

I do like the beam on the D4 with the nice flood. From what I understand the XP-L HD will be more floody than the XP-L Hi ??

Can anyone weigh in on the differences from HP to Hi ??

I’m not chasing lumens even though the HD is more. I do like the 4000-5000k tint. I have a Olight R50 Seeker which is a XHP50 and that seems a little green to me.

I have an 5000K XP-L HI D4S and I like it very much. It has useful beam for close but it has some throw as well. It is a good all rounder. If you don’t really want just pure flood the HI version is for you.

X-PL HI for sure, absolutely zero tint shift, plus a bit of extra throw without making the beam profile too narrow. With X-PL you will still see tint rainbow even in a quad like this.

That looks like it was a blast! Is that yours? If this doesn’t have a thread of its own already it really deserves one. That’s a lot of torches. I may literally travel to Hungary for the next one!

They have also added different color auxiliary lights, how awesome is that? Still like the cyan but amber would be cool as well.

Most of the torches brought by M4DM4X and me. I brought around 60.
The MS12 worked fine. You can ask M4DM4X how is it now because it was his light.
