Interesting ! (if this torch has no bug or problem (Vinh Tange))

I’m really interested. Can you tell me what was the problem with Skylumen one?

I try to find out

Vinh said his manufacturer was not Rofis?

That would be nice :+1:

Yes Vinh says the Tange is not from Rofis:

There where several issues with the Tange, mostly the light was not turning on.
If I get it right it was mostly a problem with the battery.

I have no clue but it looks like his version was taken off the market, it’s not on his website any more.

Yes, Vinh was little bit unhappy with the Tange …. :open_mouth:

That’s worrying. I guess we’re better off waiting for first reviews or even asking Rofis if the issue was fixed.

Cute little light. Nice to see new designs every now and again.

The first batch of Skylumen Tanges experienced a relatively high failure rate (~5-10%) and the pulsating/breathing tail LED indicator had a high current draw which if left On continuously would drain the tiny 10180 battery in 5-7 hrs. Skylumen made good on any outright failed units (the high drain pulsing LED was not considered a failure though) and decided it was not ready for further release.

But that was the Tange, not sure if Rofis’ model has been tweaked.

Since it has no mechanical button, what are the chances of it randomly turning on inside your pocket, assuming you forget to lock it out?

EDIT:
Also, is the 10180 cell user accessible/removable?

Faster than the speed of light? That’s awesome!

It uses one of those capacitance switches so accidental turn on is generally unlikely from being pressed against stuff in the pocket.

Skylumens indicated for the Tange that battery replacement by general users was not recommended. Disassemble might be somewhat difficult from tight fit and/or glue and/or reassembly could be tricky …but by flashlight enthusiasts are a different matter.

Again, all of the above info is for the Tange, I have no knowledge of the Rofis unit. On the basis of the Rofis description in OP, there would appear to be some differences. For example, the mode sequence is different, Tange is L-M-H-M-L… whereas TC1 is described/pictured as L-M-H-L-M-H… Also the TC1 desciption talks about a 3-sec Lock-out, the Tange does not appear to have such.

now available also in BLUE / RED / GREEN

I don´t receive the TC1 from BG so far.

But one from GB.

There at least 5 Users on TLF (6 Items) who hold the TC1 in Hand.
So far there are no problems. After charging the battery all of them works fine :+1:

Mine was locked at delivery.

So make sure to charge the battery first and after that press for at least a few seconds to unlock the light :+1:

Stop! In the name of Einstein!

I bought a couple of the black TC1’s and one has been on my keyring for a few weeks now, great little torch and feels nicer to use than the Cooyoo Quantum that’s been on my keys for most of last year.

The TC1 has performed well for me, with one caveat - it seems to drain its internal battery within a couple of weeks; twice now i’ve tried to switch it on to be met with either flashing red light on the button, or the main LED blinking 3 times and switching off; clearly the battery is depleted and charging is required to resolve.

Unfortunately this caveat is quite a deal breaker, as remembering to charge my keyring light every week, or so, is not on top of my agenda.

Either the quiescent current of the touch switch electronics is too high, or i have a dud?

Without the issues over battery drainage, this is otherwise a great torch and would have received 5 stars for everything.
