Needs to have a bit more grunt to compete with most out there now.
Sofirn now have the IF22 & IF22A. Convoy doesn’t have anything much in terms of longer range. There’s other brands I could stock, but I just love Simon’s pricing and customer service, unbeatable I reckon
If the diameter of the TIR lens and the reflector are the same, the range of the TIR lens will be worse.
In fact, I can find related lenses, but I personally don’t like TIR lenses in terms of long-range shots.
If you are interested, I can develop one.

Even though range for the same diameter might be less, I like TIRs because of the beam shape – more usable light. I’d definitely be interested in a convoy sft40 TIR (but I think the IF22A is ugly/awkward looking).

Simon, I received your new M3C today the one without a head spring. Spring tension on the 26800 with extension and the 26650 with the body tube only is mild to weak. On moon mode a mild tap will turn it off. Other modes it flickers. My quick fix so far is to remove the retaining ring. Press a P60 outer dropin spring into the hole along with the supplied tail spring. It fits very snug but a longer stronger tail spring is needed.

Yes, there is a similar problem with the S11 spring. I put a vertically switched flashlight on the table and it switches the mode.

There is a possibility that this is a temporary solution to the problem. The spring will squeeze again over time and everything will repeat itself. I think need a more powerful spring or a double spring for flashlights with heavy 26650 batteries.

It looks wicked. I hope there’ll be an adapter for a 21700/26650 because I can’t get a 26800 in New Zealand. I can get the light shipped with one, but no spares are possible

Can Simon please confirm?
Yes, it’s a sample ,but the driver is not good ,
it’s a FET driver, The manufacturer claims that the maximum output can reach 25A, but when I measured it was only 19.2A

spring can soldered on the the 26mm plate, The area used for welding the spring on the driver is too small, and I cannot find a suitable spring that can withstand large currents.

Looks good, that’s your biggest reflector yet. Any chance of a M3 or L2 size head for us pocket rocket people?
Love the design on the new 26800 light! Finally a proper SBT90.2 mid size thrower with adequate cooling. I’ll sure order one when the driver and spring issue gets sorted out. Just squeeze in a bigger FET and worst case scenario use solid brass +ive contact and 18awg bypassed rear spring.

Would like have more groups with different modes spaces on their drivers.
Even more below 0.1% that I find too bright on some cases.

Sorry for my poor english.
i can send the 26mm plates if you need it

Those cooling fins look even more aggressive than on the L7!
I held off on the L7 because it is a little too big. But this…….
I would buy that (but not in silver).
But but but so shiny.

Can’t wait for the first 2×26800 – this seems like a good candidate.

Maybe talk to BlueSwordM about his high current springs, together they can handle 21A. Maybe they will fit
