The LED below is from a factory in China, and the sample test has the same long-range capability as the KW CSLNM1.TG I plan to produce a batch of 4000K and 2700K to meet the needs of some hunters.

Thank u my man, had no idea.
Got one of each, now i just need that stainless steel goodness and im done for S2’s : )

Awesome! Looks like only the textured ones are left, for now.

Simon must’ve found another drawer of them somewhere. LOL

I’d rather use my flashlight around the house than turn on the lights.

Hi Simon, I see you’ve re-released M21A UV with its excellent driver. Have you made any progress adapting this driver to S12 UV? Alternatively, perhaps one of your existing 12V drivers and a 3S MCPCB would be suitable? I love the light, but the regulation with the linear driver is poor due to the high VF of the UV LED’s. My testing is below. I find myself changing the battery when it’s still more than half full to still get excellent brightness.

Since the thermal resistance of the seoul UV LED is too large, I cannot supply more current to it.
Later I will replace them with SST-10-UV, I will use a custom constant current driver (output 3A) to replace it.

Sad news, the manufacturer says only white light is available.

I love the S16/S21D body design, it looks and feels very high quality. They also have real cooling fins, which is great for a small body.

The driver has not been fully repaired, and there are still some problems. I had to produce dedicated drivers for S21C and S21D,
S21C has one less lamp bead than S21D, and there is no difference in other aspects. I consider installing ordinary color rendering index and high brightness LEDs for S21C, such as CREE XPL HD.

We cleared out Simon’s supply of S21D in just under 23 hours. Cool

Yes, they sold out, and there was a without battery option. I ordered 2 without battery.

The demand for them must have gotten up.

When I asked if he planned to get different ano colors for it he replied it doesn’t sell good enough to justify that.

Or perhaps he made like 15 of them haha

And I thought I had time to overthink this purchase…

I think the S21D is the most underrated light on the market. Almost no one hypes it. Only a handful of reviews for it (all positive). Once more of them are in people’s hands and folks are posting about them and reviewing them sales will take off.

Granted, I’m biased. I think they are awesome. Simon is sending me a sample of the new 12A driver to install in one, so I’m pretty excited. I’ll have a 8A 519a 5700k and 12A 519a 5700k to compare head to head, along with my current 219b & 519a 4500k models.

This is so relatable. I think about some purchases for weeks and the result is that opportunity sometimes passes me by. On the bright side, at least I’m saving money on some frivolous purchases. Big Smile

The 17mm 5A driver would be great for both of them.

Well, the sft40 s2+ uses a 5A driver as standard but isn’t it a little hot roddish for the 519a?

Nope. It’s the 219B you don’t want to use with the 5A driver. The 519 can handle it just fine.

Djozz tested it, and the 519A peaks in brightness around 6A. So 5A is a nice max current. It’ll get hot in an S2 of course, but it won’t harm the emitter.

If you want to run high mode without extra heat the 3A driver fine too. But you’ll have to solder it to the pill, which is annoying.

I see, thank you for the inputs, I’ll get some of these 5A drivers.

By the way, I have a couple questions if you don’t mind

What driver Simon sells his 519a S2s with?

Just want to have an idea of the heat these will pump out, also, efficiency is a bigger concern to me than sheer output but if should they be the same, at the same brightness, I wouldn’t mind have a little extra oomph at all, I just wouldn’t like to sacrifice efficiency at the same middle brightness levels which is most of my use time.

What are the architectures Simon uses in these drivers, are they buck boost, linear, linear + fet…?

I’m not as versed as u guys in here.

Hi Simon. The 17mm forward switch I got is a bit different from the one pictured. the switch has a black top instead of white top and the mcpcb has 1 center hole instead of 5 center holes which is exactly like the 16mm switch pcb. it measures just under 16mm like your 1288 16mm switches.

Is there a way to get LEDs cheaper?
If you get 10 pcs the price is $2-3 but I want to try various LEDs and tints.
You have to buy per piece and 519a for instance is $7.50 for one. If you buy multiple the price doesn’t decrease.

Buy one cct and leave Simon a message what and how many of each cct you want

kiriba-ru S2+ and S21a spacers are available in EU. PM me. A few details here

The color of the top doesn’t matter. It’s invisible in assembled tail so.
The pcb you received is better because it has more vias – less resistance.
