Zebralight SC64C with 4000K LH351D

Just noticed that Zebralight has preorders up for their Special Edition 4000K high-CRI LH351D SC64c LE

Couldn’t resist. Ordered one. Now to sell an sc63w…

If I could only have one light I suspect this would be it.

Mine came in today. Its fantastic! Great tint, not perfect but sooo much better than anything else Zebralight has offered. I love it!

I don’t love this clip, but its serviceable. I’ll probably swap the one off of my SC63w though:

Beamshot comparison attempt. SC64c LE (Samsung LH351d, 4000k) on the left, SC63w (Cree XHP35, 4500k) on the right:

FWIW: The beam on the right looks much like my SC62. If the photo had challenged me to identify the SC6x lights caracterized, my ‘cold’ guess would have been SC62w (left), SC62 (right). The Samsung has a slight rose tinge, but the SC62w was the LED that ZL was so fond of, they would have kept using it if it had been available to them longer.

(From the Zebralight site):
“….Battery: One 18650 size (i.e. unprotected, 65.0-65.2 mm long) 3.6-4.35V li-ion rechargeable…”

….isn’t it amazing how ZL engineers can somehow actually calculate let alone ‘publish’ simple tolerances for their battery fitments???

Them there’s sum ‘smart fellers’ …as compared to… :person_facepalming:

I still have my SC62w and can make a comparison of folks want to see. It’s been my favorite Zebralight…until now. I’d say this Samsung is slightly rosier with a tiny touch more green in the Corona while the xm-l2 is more tannish overall. But where the Samsung clearly trounces the older light is cri. It’s a noticable difference when compared side by side. Plus the new light has the more programmable firmware, which is great.

I ordered one just now. But it is on back order. Hope to get a shipping notice soon

Unprotected 18650? Ugh. I don't have any. Can someone recommend a good one?

This one for the Zebralight:

Buy 2 just in case.

The Samsung 30Q has enough capacity and doesn’t fail when it’s cold during the winter.

Perfect. Thanks. Flashlight ordered too

I think this is my grail light. Size, tint, beam profile, LVP, potting, efficiency, cri, ui, pid, durability, unprotected flat tops.

I recently ordered some lights that were already beyond my budget. I’m not getting this one right now, too. I’m hoping they continue to offer or release alternative emitters like this.

It has been three weeks and mine is still not shipped.

I just ordered one today. Still shows backordered, hopefully won’t take forever to ship…

Comparative beam shots, ugh! I was plenty happy with my sc63w but dang it the sc64c LE looks really nice.

I never received a shipping notice but the one I ordered 1/4/19 was delivered 2/2/19 so yours may be on the way.

I sure hope that is the case. Thanks for the info!

Any long-term reviews to report?

I love my sc64w hi, this looks damn good.
