YLP coupon for BLF

Since a couple of years I’ve been working in collaboration with the Russian flashlight brand YLP, helping it out to develop the torches and to make them more attractive for Russian flashaholics. I am really happy to see that there is a certain interest for these lights at BLF - as well as for special discounts :)

I discussed the discount option with the YLP management and they were glad to offer a coupon code for all torches available at the international page of the YLP store: http://ylplight.com/en/shop/

Coupon:

BLF-10 – 10% for all lights (valid until 31.12.2021)

// Besides, if you have any questions regarding YLP torches, you may ask them here and I will try to answer or will forward them to the YLP.

Any chance they might go into Gearbest or similar stores one day?

Ehh. Too late… :weary:
But maybe it will be useful to others. Thanks fnksb.

Thinking about getting a Falcon FH5, it’s pretty hard to find a good headlamp in the 2xAA class… but regarding its waterproofness, is there an O-ring in the head? All the site says is

The telescoping part has a smooth surface so in theory there’s place for one

Hi. Does the Panda 3R have the customizable UI?

thank you

Thanks! I just ordered the Gryphon G180. It’s been on my radar for a while now. From the reviews I’ve read, I really like that it can sustain turbo for a practicable amount of time.

I don’t think so, but I can ask:)
Сurrently you can buy these torches from ebay or YLP-store.

Yes, there is one O-ring in front of the TIR.

No, only the basic UI. But it’s also quite complicated:)

Currently, only Panda 2M-CRI have a hidden customizable UI.

Some torches have a slightly changeable UI - for example, “ON/OFF Memory function” (Gryphon G18, G180, Sherp S15, Panda 2M/2R, Falcon FH5), or changes the order of modes (Falcon F15, F20).

I am asking because I need to offload points before they expire. Not a big deal if they do, but I had good experience with GB in the past years. Also GB shipping works for me.

I would recommend you to use GB-points for buying something else, as currently YLP doesn’t plan to work with GB.

Thanks. I will look at the YLP website anyway, I think they have interesting designs.

Can someone explain Panda 3 UI?

Ru/En user manual is here (pdf):

Thank you.
UI looks good enough for me so I will order one.

Are YLP lights glued?

According to maukka’s review, the G180 is not: ” YLP Gryphon G180 review with measurements (9*XP-G2, 3*18650)“:YLP Gryphon G180 review with measurements (9*XP-G2, 3*18650)
A couple of others also posted that they emitter swapped with Nichia 219C and Samsung LH351D.

What are the shipping rates to the U.S.? Looked around the site, may have over looked it.

Shipping is $7 USD ($450 RUB) for my order of 2 Panda (ship to Hawaii USA).

Not bad. I did see one I liked. G180 I think. Reasonable price as well.

FYI - YLP ships via registered mail. Transit time for my light was 20 days, arrived today  (not bad, considering). However, registered mail requires signature upon receipt. If you are not home during the day, it might be a good idea to have your order shipped to a friend or family member who is.
