Bad experience with Banggood

If you are thinking of buying anything over $100 from Banggood - don’t!

I ordered a dashcam from their UK warehouse and after I placed the order I noticed my shipping address was incomplete.
And all my shipping addresses from my account were missing the 2nd line. They were there before, so I’m pretty sure they removed them and didn’t notify users about this (can anyone else who has an account there confirm this btw?).
Anyway, I went to their support chat and told them about the “bug” and to correct my address. The agent said she can’t change the address because the package is already being shipped. This was less than 30 minutes after I placed the order, so it was obviously a lie!

Basically, their live support is completely useless. I think they are outsourcing their support to freelancers, because agents have no access to customer orders, they can’t change or edit them or resolve any issues.

So then the dashcam appeared as “shipped” on their end 3 days later! I asked for a tracking number and they said they can’t give me one because it was sent with “standard shipping”. Shipping cost was 10$ btw, plus some insurance fee. And product was $130… so no tracking number?!

Considering I had no way of receiving it, or contacting the carrier, I asked them to ship it again to the correct address.
They said no and that I need to wait until they get the first one back, and then they will not resend it, but refund me the cost minus the “double shipping fee”.

At this point I had it and opened a case with Paypal.
Obviously they waited until the last moment to respond to Paypal… so I got my money back after they held it hostage for a month.

TLDR- don’t buy anything over $100 from them, but if you insist on doing so, make sure it’s not something important that you need right away and that you pay through Paypal! Otherwise you will get burned…

And another negative experience with BG. They seem to be common these days.
I have not seen any disappearing address lines on my account, yet.

I don’t know something changed in their customer support, or if they treat smaller orders differently.

About a year ago I order a mini soldering iron from banggood, it was $50 or so. About a month later I contacted them because the tracking info showed that the package was detained by customs. They offered to resend it right away, I didn’t even ask.
Then after 2 more months, I got both packages! I contacted them again and told them I refused to pick up one of them, and everything was ok.
