Nice, but i would be afraid to lose such an expensive light

hmmmm
Do I buy two used motorbikes
or one flashlight that doesn’t even ship with a battery?

I was marveling at the cool light,

then I stumbled on it…

I'll sell you my Beagle for $1500.00

It's actually a bagel.... half beagle, half basset and half the price.

Well, you know, you could build a shovel with a 24k gold-plated titanium blade, machined from a solid billet, and hand carve a handle out of solid rosewood. And it pitches dirt just like a $10 shovel at Ace Hardware. But if you need an EDC to stow in your GUCCI man-purse… Really, do people this rich swap out their own batteries?

I’m pretty sure that people who carry a Gucci man-purse don’t even know how to open their $3000 EDC flashlight to change the battery. But if they did, they’d put a brand new one in and donate the “used” one to Goodwill or throw it away. :open_mouth:

This is hilarious. Thanks for sharing

“Calibre 1116 Light Engine”

:person_facepalming:

translation : Yep we are egregiously overpriced but so is your watch

Thanks for sharing. And ’only’ 3 Bills. I’m gonna jump right on that… :money_mouth_face: . :person_facepalming:

3 bills is 3 thousand to you? You roll hard…. a bill to me is a C-note…

God I hate marketing… The more hype terms they use, the more I know I am getting screwed

intensities, er levels?
monocoque case,er metal tube
Copper…no wait POLISHED copper AND gold plated…
electronic minutiae and on and on… Not a light… it’s a ….torch

Beautiful light!

Mine has gears!

The Leather Case/Holster costs $325…… :person_facepalming:
.

They do not swap out batteries mostly but if they do they feel very manly afterwards.

Man do I feel hoi·ty-toi·ty when I buy myself a $50.00 gadget. Got to rethink this……………

I’d like to know how many they actually sell. I just cannot imagine who would actually buy something like this. Well, besides someone with far, far, faaarrr to much expendable money.

The 1% . Not us.

I guess so… cause is sure is not me.

The price is within the range of what median Americans regularly choose in options on a new car.

We’re not necessarily talking about fabulously rich buyers, although obviously the market for this kind of light is going to skew very strongly towards the higher incomes. We’re talking about buyers who place a high value on lights that are not only functional, but unique and attractive.

Remember, there’s over 3 million 1-percenters in the US. Among the several hundred people you probably know by name, there are likely some who fall into that 1 in 100 income level that you didn’t even realize, because most people who work in a very specialized field of medicine or engineering, or who have grown successful businesses from the ground up aren’t pretentious.

The one’s that are pretentious definitely are the ones who get noticed, though.

It only takes a small percentage of that number of people taking an interest in a boutique item to create a viable market, whether that’s a watch, a purse, cosmetic customizations for a vehicle, etc.

Fun fact: according to Bloomberg, Swiss luxury watch makers last year sold 3.8 million watches worth an average of $2100 each!
