Test/review of EAIEP INR18650-25R 2500mAh (Green)

EAIEP INR18650-25R 2500mAh (Green)

Official specifications:

  • Battery type: INR18650-25R

  • Battery specifications: 18 * 65 (mm)

  • The material of the battery: lithium ion (Li-ion lithium-ion batteries)

  • Battery voltage: 3.6 v.

  • The nominal capacity: 2500mAh

This battery from China matches name with a well know high current Samsung battery (See pictures below), the printing and color is also similar, but not exactly the same.

The discharge curves matches fairly well at lower currents, but this is NOT a high current battery (like the Samsung).

Conclusion

The battery is moderate in capacity for a low current battery. There is nothing wrong with the battery, it has the rated capacity and can deliver enough current for many applications, but the type number is very misleading.

Thanks for the review!

Me personally i would assume these would be rebranded Samsung 25r cells very misleading and some what dangerous to copy the name.

I think there was one edition of the 25r that had this greenish/blueish colour wrapper also? Or at least a similiar colour.

Rewrapped LG ICR18650-B4 cells. Use HKJ's comparator, their curves match at low discharge currents and the reason they completely do not at higher rates is because the LG B4 cell was tested on the old 2-wire holder testing station.

Given the super low price, may be a nice option for a cheap big battery pack. If still on sale, that is.
