Yeah. Pictures need to be conformed to the page size. This is bad enough on desktop, but worse on mobile. And it’s easy to fix.

I am always careful to make my photos or fit the post box (using max 98%).
I guess it helps in threads reading both in computer or mobile devices!
The editor is easy to use, so would be nice to get them “size-wise” :wink:

Very annoying, especially if they are 15MB pictures! They seem to load forever.

It’s so easy to do it right….

There is a box right besides the second line, just put 100 in it. THAT’S IT. Nothing more is required from you. Little naked elves will squeeze the picture to size.

.

(OPTIONAL) Relative Width (%): 100

Takes forever and they eat up huge amounts of mobile data.

How do you adjust the size when you have already inserted the picture using the simple post editor? I always forget, I know you insert something before the URL of the image

For example, to attach an image you use in simple post editor

!IMAGE URL!

To make it fit what do you insert?

@AlexGT:

!{width:50%}IMAGE URL!

If an image is more than 800 pixels wide, I make it 100% wide or smaller.

Insert another picture with the “100” in the second line. Save it……you will see a small insert in front of the picture link. Not it’s position INSIDE the exclamation mark.

Copy paste it for the rest.

YES! Setting the display size maximum does not help with the file size. If the linked image is a huge file the entire file stiul has to download while the forum software then resizes the display size.

Never had an issue with loading speed, any size will do as long as we can see the important details.

yep, make em fit. :+1: We can always enlarge em on our end.

Unless it’s clearly a small pic, I’ll use an img tag:

<img width=‘100%’ src=‘…/fooey.jpg’/>

I should change the second voting option to……“I love my donkey” :smiling_imp:

I did that on a sports forum and believe it or not, some people were fuming. Because you know, internet polls are so life changing.

It’s okay to love your pet, but you shouldn’t LOVE your pet. :confounded:

I'm still stuck on little naked elves squeezing pictures...

Testing…

Full size…

30% size using !IMAGE URL!

YES…… Make pictures fit properly. :+1:

Changing the image size % on the forum does absolutely nothing to file size.
It only changes how big the image appears.
The full resolution image gets loaded regardless, whether you make it 1000% or 1% scaling.

Yep, you need to reduce your images before inserting them in BLF, the BLF editor will do nothing about the size, if your picture was full res. it will load the full res., it will just display it differently. For example, look at this cute little pic :smiling_imp: , then right-click it and open in a new window :
