Electronics are generally too fragile to be handled. So they are enclosed or cast with resin to make them rugged. I am interested in making electronics that can take some abuse so you can take them out of their enclosures to fix them. There is an art movement called free form electronics that builds rugged electronics. This was not their intent but was a byproduct. The most fragile part I have come across is the solder joint on a solar cell.
