Who knows more about the emitters?
I need
Hope it has a lockout
Those side mounted switches look great.

I’m looking forward to the details on this light.
This clip approach looks more practical than on the original Tip.
seems they could make the power switch a slide type which also locked out the other
I really like this, and will probably buy it. I also like how Nitecore has such a wide variety of different types of lights now, especially compact ones.
Looks well engineered!

I do hope for a CRI version
In for 1.
Thanks for the heads up!
Any specs on it yet?
gotta have it!
No, sorry.
I will update post #1 when we get more info.
If it does, I want it!

Looks awesome ! I’ve using my TIP CRI with lockout mode since it was showed and it’s perfect urban EDC for me. Hope this TIP 2 will be good successor for it
TIP 2 is up on Nitecore’s website

Looks like it has a Micro-USB port. I would really like something with USB-C from them.
Umm, I want lumens but I want CRI too...
XP-G3 … it could not be worse.

as usual with nc, they don’t seem to care about color temp. I like my MH20 and the LA30 cri but their choice of emmiters is horrible. Why choose an ugly white tint for a high cri lantern? I would use the LA30 if it had a nice tint but it makes everything look ugly even if they claim high cri.
Idiot proofing something only creates improved idiots.
It's all about lumens with many manufacturers. Anything else is subordinated.
I wonder how long this man with his TIP2 on the bridge was overexposed for taking the picture. It looks more like 7,200 instead of 720 lumens.
thought the same about that picture, this dude needs a tiny monster to be bright like this

Not enough new stuff here for me to consider this Tip2. I’ll stick with my Tip for now.
Just looking for the High CRI version already!

who hurt you Nitecore?
well, if it’s hi cri xp-g3, then it’s still suck
Forgot my pen
I like the magnetic holder though

If the price is good it might be worth it for modding, I installed a 90CRI nichia in the Tip and the beam was amazing, had it as keychain light for years until it was lost.
I think it can be easily disassembled, it seems like the whole internals slide out from the back once the top screws are removed.

Anyone with this Nitecore “DEMO” mode stuff can comment if long press for ON and 30s “DEMO” mode shut off is a good enough substitute for not having a lockout? My current EDC is a UltraTac K18 Mini. It has a lockout and replaceable battery so not sure I want to even consider this but who knows. I could be convinced IF it’s moddable
Meeeh very nice project but I don’t like that demo modes in my NC TINI, it was turned ON by mistake many times in my pocket
I prefer dual button lockout like in my old TIP CRI
MSRP looks to be $45
