[IGNORE] was Discharge-after-test problem with LiitoKala Lii-500 Engineer charger

Sorry for this thread, but it appears that I misunderstood the functioning of the Lii-500. More testing is needed…

I can’t ignore it. I just can’t…

DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO

I am trying to ignore it but, I am finding even trying to ignore it is getting increasingly difficult to accomplish.

If you want to catch my attention, use the words “ingnore” or “secret”. A bar of chocolate also helps.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…….Chocolate. :sunglasses:

OK I will ignore it … if I can …

Bump

sorry i could not ignore

not possible, sorry

Thankyou !!

i like what you did there, I much prefer an IGNORE over the boring PLEASE DELETE

I too misunderstand my Lii-500. So, can I only do a nor test when the cells are fully charged? I notice that if I try a nor test at a voltage like 3.8, the device begins to charge the batteries. What is a fast test? I tried watching some youtube videos and was more confused afterwards.

Ignored.

I just realized his username is the punchline :person_facepalming:

Please correct any mistakes I’ve made here:

A NOR (Normal) test will do the following:
1. Charge the cell.
2. Discharge the cell, measuring its capacity.
3. Recharge the cell. The final capacity is frozen, the voltage readout will remain active, and the END symbol will flash during this stage.
Finish. The END symbol will stay on constantly. Voltage readout will freeze.

A FAST test will do the following:
1. Discharge the cell.
2. Recharge the cell, measuring its capacity. Capacity and voltage readouts will remain active during this stage.
Finish. The END symbol will stay on constantly. Capacity and voltage readouts will freeze.

The Normal test is more accurate than the Fast test because we want to know discharge capacity; how much power we actually get out. Charge capacity will always measure a little higher as we must push more power into a cell than what we will later get back out.

So, the funny part for me is that the read count was around 45 when this was a real thread with text and photos, yet the read count jumped to 200+ after moving it to Chatter and marking it [IGNORE].

I think I will use this strategy in the future to improve my response rate  . You gotta think like a youtuber…

Thanks for fun posts about ignoring people :+1: .

No, the funny part is you ended up clearing up MY confusion. Thank you!
