my wife confessed to me tonight that she lost the head on her iTP EOS A3 while grocery shopping! i was bummed at first, but realized it's an opportunity to do some flashlight shopping. i just ordered a couple of Tank 09s but those are spoken for. just as well since my wife doesn't want different modes, and she wants a clicky. i may just end up getting some of those button lights, but that's usually not how i operate. i want more more more.. so what's the smallest clicky AAA that'll take a keyring (not lanyard)? i have both a Tank 007 and Black Cat but they seem a bit large for keychain use and i don't think they'll take a keyring (i may be wrong). any suggestions? thanks!

I guess it can be done. I have the Tank007 TK-701. It’s a clicky and it has a little hole on the side of the tail. I think it had a lanyard but I cut it off. I don’t use lanyards or use these lights as key chain lights.
You’re replacing a A3 which is a twisty right? I just bought the Thrunite TI which is a twisty. It’s only 2 modes and you don’t have to twist it twice to change modes.
You twist it a little for low and even more for high. It has a raised post on the tail for a key chain. It’s only $16 and is available in the U.S. (so quick shipping).
i think she lost the head from twisting too far so no more twisty for her. she never really liked it anyway.

but cqg s1 on my keys also attracts her, but I have to admit that it is a little hard to press the button with the keyring attached

The button on those is certainly clear of the keychain attachment at least.
keychain AAA with clickies? -- only few such lights exist (e.g. the Tank) and there are similar threads on cpf. i had been looking for such a thing too .. but it was to difficult to get hold of any desirable ones (e.g. Liteflux) or they were simply too biggish. Take as reference the Preon 1 with clicky. it's a bit long and not necessarily a "keychain" light -- but it's about the best you can get with a clicky.
in my case, i gave up. keychain lights are special: typically they are in stainless steel or titanium and they are twisties, slim and short, and they should be able to tailstand (Because of the missing clicky).
so smartass me paid money for : ..etc.. (you were asking for clickies, so there's no point in listing my AAA lights lol)

folks: i ordered one of those S1's mentioned above. longer, but thinner, than the A3. if she doesn't like that, well, we're just gonna have to find something else that she does like and i'll take the S1 -- DOINK! also gave me an excuse to get a Balder SE-1 XM-L that i've been eyeballing. i haven't purchased any flashlights in a year, but have ordered four in the last week. this site is dangerous.
