Somebody spotted this on ebay and posted it to reddit. The ebay sale has been ended, but it’s still viewable. I grabbed some pictures. It has a magnetic tailcap and aux LEDs. The polished steel bezel is optional.
The background and the knife used to demonstrate the magnet look just like the D4S product page, so I think this is real.

I knew there was a reason I have resisted the FW3A bandwagon.
Yeah, I’ll be getting one.
Hell Yeah! Can’t wait.
Lights, Lights, Lights
But did you see the price of $199.99? It will have to cost less when it becomes available at in-mnt. Otherwise, they would be pricing it more than the D4S.
No, I’ll admit I did not see that. Two hundred will cause me to rethink.
I’m quite confident $199.99 is just this reseller’s excessively marked-up price, and not how much Hank will charge for it.
It probably won’t cost much more than Gen 1 Emisar D4.
…or the guy did custom upgrades himself and that’s why the price is so high?
I think that’s more likely. But, I haven’t looked at the listing. I’m just going by the information in this thread.
The Cycle of Goodness: “No one prospers without rendering benefit to others”
- The YKK Philosophy
These promo pics look nearly identical to the official ones for the other Emisar lights.
Someone got their hands on an early model and some pics/info and tried to make a quick buck (or 200).
The guy said in the comments “not to buy it” “not available yet” The price is just a place holder.
Whoa. Instant buy for sure.
I am so into that mellow-yellow
Yeah, it’s perfect for that (gold?) anodized light. I would love to see more matching colors of anodizing and optic glow, like a nice blue, green, red, etc.
They obviously have the optic glow colors, they just need to release the anodizing colors to match.

All I want is a recessed switch, like on a Zebralight.
OMG I need this!! A new version of D4S would be nice too. Or a D7 to compete with the E07
From eBay listing: “****PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ****
****ITEM IS NOT AVAILABLE TILL JUNE 24TH 2019****
Pricing is not set till i get the final bill from Emisar. All new options are extra charge (stainless head and magnetic cap). Fell free to contact me if you have any questions.”
and Hank seems still not interested in a bit more capable aux boards
He promised me early this year when I made D4 Aux to send me a sample to make it fit which never came

Pic looks like 21700?
After comparing to my D4, V2 is still a 18650.
that is a good looking light.
I really hope so. The information on eBay indicates it is an 18650 light again. I would be much more interested into a 21700 D4 V2.0.
short tube ≠ 21700, unless some likes to try to saw them in half to get 21350s

Seeing that the same light can have different aux colors it looks like they are selectable via the config UI? – like the aux board has red green and blue leds that can be conbined?
NO!
even if the driver MCU had enough pins to control this, there is not enough space to route RGB LEDs on a 2 layer board, those LEDs are also too big
and Hank doesnot want any complicated Aux boards

I never had an Emisar but if the spring isn’t very thight with an 18650, a 21700 may fit lenghtwise.
The diameter likely is a far greater problem.

IMO D4 should remain 18650, and D4S/D1/D1S should get 21700 tube makes more sense due to head size
USB power meter/tester thread
Cyan color please
the ss bezel looks really cool.
The gold ano should had been some darker gold, like a mix of copper-gold ano. Maybe a little bit more dim than this example.
