Looks great! I’m seriously contemplating this as my first titanium light.
On a seperate topic, regarding keeping the forum well-organized:
When there is an update to make, I’d like to suggest that instead of overwriting the first post entirely with new content when you have news like this, either start a new thread, or keep the original content in the first post, and add the new content above or below it.
The same for thread titles.
I was briefly confused how I missed the announcement of the D4V2 Ti on June 18th. I suspect some others, especially new members will be even more confused.

Can confirm. Was confused why the date was June 18th and how the thread managed to get so many replies.
BTW I noticed that this new titanium version doesn’t offer the option to select the raised switch ring. Is that an oversight or is it really not going to be an option?
Could you offer the D4V2 reflashing kit as an accessory with the flashlight for less than full price?
That’s all explained how to do this in his description of the item on his site. I got one for less, because of a previous order I did in the problem time frame that I provided an order# with.

I have one on my regular D4V2 that I have pocket-carried for over a month now, front jeans pocket with keys, pen-knife and other metal stuff, and it switched itself on 3 times up to now (maxramp set at 450lumen so no injuries), which is perfect compared to twice a day with the regular bezel. So the raised bezel is a great option to have.
But on the other hand, who would pocket-carry this paper-weight?

I’ve carried D4 in my backpach (which I always have with me). Physical lockout was a must. So on my last order I asked Hank to include the raised bezel.

I requested Hank for 4 raised bezels for my old D4’s via mail and that was no problem, he priced them reasonably and they even came with spare switchcovers. Following what someone posted somewhere on BLF I sharpened the front of a cheap screwdriver to a knife’s edge, and used it to slowly chisel the old bezel out from the side, bit by bit while changing the angle all the time. The bezel came off without scratching the ano. Used a vice plus two pieces of wood to push the new bezel in.
Ugh. It’s such a tank. Impractical for real use.
In 18350 mode, it’s actually heavier than the aluminum version.
Still tempted. But it will be a cool paperweight for me.
I ordered two regular D4V2 not long ago, oh well. Getting another one then!
Probably going for SST20 3000K since the others were 4000K and 5000K, and I love the warm tint.

Is the copper raw or coated?

Both of my V1’s were raw.

Just ordered SST-20 4000K with the 18350 tube and magnetic tailcap! I can’t wait!
Same! Any update on this Hank? Thank you!

Great, just got mine for 18.50 $…
How long is the sale for the flashing kit?
ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ I can always be wrong, probably 75% of the time.
I was also confused with this thread… How could i have missed the D4V2 Ti announcement four month ago?!
Anyway, glad i stumbled upon it.
Very tempting indeed! It would go real well with a MF 01 Min Al/Cu… and a few other lights.
Is the raised switch bezel an option?
Hank, have you considered a metal switch cover? Would be more classy…
Hmm, about the raised switch bezel….

Well I’ve been pocket carrying the Ti+Cu version of the FW3 so this is probably similar weight right?
user hunter1 measured his at the following (no battery):
original D4 Ti = 126.7 g
FW3Ti+Cu = ~83 g
FW3C = ~123 g
Wait what? That is nuts. Is the copper portion bigger than the FW3T+C equivalent?
I will have to think this over.
It’s really cool, but the last one was so heavy it barely left my closet.
I really want it, but not at that weight.

I have it easier…my light has so many scratches that adding a few more won’t matter.
I’m not fond of anodization durability of my D4…
