I agree that D4V2/DW4/DT8 do not have enough threads on the front of the body tube for the charging adapter’s port to be in the threads. It would need to be placed either on the face of the charging adapter next to the center positive terminal, or on the outside and covered by a rubber flap.

I believe you can email Hank for the lighted switch. He will give you the secret SKU to enter on the website to pay the extra cost. I already have the SST-20 in 4000k in a DT8, so I wanted something different so I went with the Nichia’s.

Thanks for the info.
How do you like it? I’ve read that the high CRI options are nice but underwhelming. People expect a hot rod since it’s a Hank light. Something reasonable is not an option Smile

In LuxWad’s review of the dm1.12 (https://budgetlightforum.com/node/81698), he noted that the model could benefit from a frosted optic option for the flood channel. I thought there was a floody option for the d18. Aren’t these the same optics? Anyone know for sure?

I believe that he said that they don’t fit.

One more piece causes one more anodizing nuance mismatching, not a good thing at all.

Same here, I dont think to have 1 more part for charging only is a good idea

Only Hanklights

The light it puts out is great, very natural. But if you are looking for max lumens, it is lacking there. A couple of weeks ago I got another DT8 with the Osram W2’s. This one is much brighter. I think with the SST’s, the DT8 puts out around 4000 lumens and with the W2’s around 6000.

I have to make a new ring for the Lumen Tube I just got from TexasAce and then I can get real numbers.

That’s precisely why it’s a separate part. You can choose not to buy it and have your port-less light that you want, while others can choose to buy it and have a charging port.

I like this option.

It could be selectable.. Like magnetic tailcaps, check here if you want a USB charging tube, check here if you want an extra non-USB tube.

Great news Hank! Do you know if they are 5 stage or 4 stage? And if they are L5 or L6?

Same question as above. I wanted a 2700/4500K mix.

It’s probably Avast’s fault TBH.

No trackers, no ads, no nothing on the Emisar website.

This kind of thing comes up on occasion because the heuristics these programs use don’t like something about Hank’s web hosting. It’s a false alarm.

Does anyone know the maximum lumen outputs of the 519A 3500K domed and dedomed, or where I can find the info? It is not mentioned under the D4W specs.

Hi Hank,

Will there be an option for 519A in the DM11 and KR1?

Thanks.

If there is enough interest will 519a 2700k be available in the future?

How much output should one expect from 4× 519a paired with the boost driver?

Around 1,800?

I saw an email from Hank stating 2700k would be in next week.

For those wondering about outputs from quad lights. Check out this guide from Reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/uewiqz/more_estimates_of_ou...

Basically, to calculate output, take the output of 4 LEDs at 2A, remove 5-10% from heat, and 10-20% from optics, and you’ve got the final output.

So meaning base on raw data from Djozz, 519A @2A for 651 lumens… How much we will be getting?

Why are the results of this table for the xpl hi version lower than in reality?

In theory, things are the same in theory and in practice…

The author relies on the test results, but for the xpl hi version he intentionally lowers these values. This table sucks

So yeah, 2000 lumens from the 519A model at 12V 2A seems perfectly reasonable.
