Just got a small batch XP-L HI T6 8D LED in stock, 2800K, 90CRI, we will not put it for sale on the site, if you like it, please order the XP-L HI V2 5D 4000K version on the site, and send us an email, so that we can use XP-L HI T6 8D LED for the light you purchase.

Hi Hank. Do you have a measurement of the lumens output and the throw of a KR4 and / or a D4V2 with these LEDs?

T8 8D should be 10% less brighter than the higher bin LED like XP-L HI V2/V3.

According to the Cree XP-L spec sheet, lowest luminosity for the 8D bin is 280 while for the V2 is 400, so looks more like 30%, in theory. I was wondering if you had measured one to make sure.

Which driver would be used for a D4V2 with this LED?

So glad to hear it ! and thanks again for helping me figure that out! My cyan with cyan switch and gray with amber swtich should be here tomorrow or Monday! Also, I didn’t even think about how nice it would look just having the white boot on them. Excited!

Where do you order aluminum D4v2 with lighted switch? I don’t see a link to that option on International Outdoor website?

ATTN: KR4 fans

Does anyone else wish that the kr4 “colorful Ti” came in the “blue wavey clouds” and “blue swirls” that the D4v2 comes in?

I feel like yet again we (the few of us that seem to love both lights but prefer the KR4) are being shadowed by that damn D4… lol. jk.. kindve..

Hank, make the KR4 colorful Ti in Blue Swirls, please?? Big Smile

I havent bought a colorful Ti, but I would if those colors were options.

https://intl-outdoor.com/emisar-dt8-dual-quad-18650-led-flashlight.html
https://www.noctigon.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=65

Comparing to D4V2, DT8 not only has higher lumens, but also longer throw,
and pocket friendly.

Are the tubes interchangeable with the D4v2?

This isn’t a two channel driver, so no mixing different model LEDs. You could tint mix with the SST-20 family if you wanted I am sure.

HANK mixed sst and osram on a D18 so I thought he would be able to do it with this

$50.00 Hank lights are good fun,
$100.00 XP-L Hank lights are Zebralight territory.
Fun for me stops with Hank.

It’s technically possible but you won’t be able to selectively switch between them per se, above a certain power level all LEDs would light up, and it would look weird I would think. But having two channels on this light would have been pretty cool! Especially if you could drive both channels at once and independently.

Oh please, I hope there is ! Although the balance may be really off with the large copper head and small titanium tube

Needs a 21700 version of this light, more juice for the 8 emitters.
