Charger for 6+ simultaneous 18650s

Hi guys and gals,

I’d love your input on a charger that allows me to charge at least 6 x 18650 button top protected cells at once. Currently, for 6-bay charger, I’m looking at:

XTAR QUEEN ANTII MC6II, XTAR QUEEN ANT MC6

Nitecore Q6

Efest LUC V6

Efan X6

For 8-bay chargers:
Nitecore i8

Efest LUSH Q8

AWT L8

Hope to hear from you soon.

You said virtually nothing with respect to budget or features. But for the price of some of these you listed, you can get a richly featured Enova Gyrfalcon All-88 which spanks all of the above in the ass.

I don’t rate it at all , it undercharges , it’s not consistent on all bays & the the voltage readings are way off.

I’m using the MiBOXER c8. Cheap and good!

@Barkuti: I list them as options I’d found so far, although I failed to find information on whether I can use all bays simultaneously for my 18650s, hence the question. However, thank you for the suggestion! I’ll look into it.

@Nev: I believe people tend to use XTAR more than other brands, which is why I listed them on top. What are you currently using?

@Wrathbringer27: Thanks for the input! I’ll look into it now.

I have used XTAR. Their older models tend to give out via the connection ports after a while. Mine has connectivity issues.

The MiBOXER has many features you might like like internal resistance and capacity but will not do a discharge test. Though, you can revive dead cells if depleted below 2.9V

I see. The revival sounds really useful. Thanks!

A pair of 4-bay chargers might charge your 6 cells at a faster rate than a single 6-bay or 8-bay, if that matters to you; but I’m just guessing since I haven’t looked at specs for the latter.

The MiBoxer C8 would be your best bet.

I see. It is a fair point. I’m just thinking about buying only one for use at home and for travel. 2 x 4-bay chargers would not be that big a different in size, but the charging speed would be higher. I’m just not sure how much faster it would be, and if it’s worth the trade-off.

@BlueSwordM: Thanks for the input! It’s another brand that didn’t come up in my Google search, along with Gyrfalcon.

For 8 cells at once I use two skyrcmc3000’s but I mainly use the opus although it use to undercharge ,I’ve desoldered the j1 solder bridge & now it properly charge them , I also use th extar vc 4 which is very good & charges to a proper 4.2v.

I see. The XTAR VC4 receives a lot of recommendations when I conducted my preliminary search. Furthermore, given that two of those chargers may charge faster than one eight-bay charger, there might be an advantage to opt for the former setup. Thanks for your input!

+100500 Miboxer C8

It’s over 9000 haha. Thanks for the input! I’ll look into it.

As says Barkuti, Miboxer C8 spanks GyrFalcon All-88 2017 (Enova)

Miboxer C8? Good choice, or so it seems.

At times I use my KPS3010DF instead of a conventional charger. Nice power supplies, by the way.

A fully custom charging electronics box with voltmeters, amperimeters, potentiometers and some rails attached could be really nice imho. I like it my way.

Cheers :-)

Mishanchik and Barkuti: Thanks for the input guys! A few members have suggested me to use a 4-bay charger instead, since I’d be able to finish charging all 8 cells before an 8-bay charger does. Any thoughts?

Get yourself 2x of these monsters:

Relatively inexpensive, and are beasts in themselves.

That’s some setup I’m having in mind. Glad I’m not alone. Thanks!
