Deal Alert - (US) - Lowes 2D LED Maglites

Last night I swung by Lowes on my way home from work to pick up PVC pipe for making battery spacers/adaptors and like any good flashaholic I stopped by the flashlights. Much to my surprise I found 2D LED Maglites marked down to $17.97! The price sticker on the shelf was one of those typical Lowes yellow stickers and read "New Lower Price, Was $29.94, Now $17.97". I checked the SKU and sure enough it matched. Couldn't pass it up, so I bought one, and yes it rang up at $17.97. I've checked online and their website still shows $29.94. I'm guessing this is only a temporary price change. My store didn't stock any 3D LED Maglites.

And by the way, all of the Mag 2D LED's in my store were an "older" style which are rated 114 Lumens for 298 meters. The two 2D LED's that I bought off of Amazon on Black Friday are rated 134 Lumens for 388 meters. This older one doesn't matter to me as I will use this one for modding.

I'm curious to hear if anyone else checks their Lowes and finds the price reduced or not.

Bump in case people didn’t see this.

I use pvc for 14500's Someone mentioned clear vinyl hose . lots of sizes ..sounded like a good idea too

Thanks for the tip, i usually go in there to check out there knives, dont look at there lights much since the ones i have are much brighter then what you can get at a local store......mights just pick up a few to keep at work.

Lowe's here is so lame that I barely check any more.

Welcome to central Pa.... Internet or nothing.

3d mag led for the same price. https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/5713 Red or blue only.

104 lumens only.

I don't mod flashlights, so Maglites don't do much for me. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that I have never found a nice budget flashlight in any B&M in central California.

One of my other hobbies is collecting carnivorous plants. I have a bunch of them growing outdoors, but I have never found a nice (and reasonably sized) one at my Home Depot or Lowe's. I guess there just isn't enough demand for cp's in my area.

Welcome to central California... Get broadband or go crazy.

Carnivorous plants are very interesting. Just something about them has always made me curious. Maybe I watched little shop of horror 1 too many times.
Sorry for off topic.

I've been growing carnivorous plants for about 3 years, but I am no expert. However, I do know of a few helpful resources.

The most recommended book for newbies is The Savage Garden; it's a great starting point. Check out the customer reviews on Amazon.

If you don't want to buy a book, I think the best cp forum (headquartered in the U.S.) is Terra Forums. There are lots of nice folks on TF.

Or you could learn about cp's on Wikipedia.

Now what was everyone else talking about, Maglites from Lowe's? ;)

My nearest Lowes has a ton of them in all different colors. I picked up 2 today to mod, a blue one and a pewter. They must have had 40 or 50. FYI they had another 20 or so in a different section at the regular price, but they will ring up at 17.97.

So it wasn’t just my location! Last I looked the online price was still $29+.

Yea, Garry, I was going to pick one up but the price has gone back to over $29 in Chicago area.
