..step by step guide.. how to kill mosquitoes with your flashlight... at night

Bzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zooooooommmmmmmm

You wake up during the night, and the only thing you can concentrate on is the sound of a mosquito in your room.

What do you do?

I usually have to get up, find the intruder, and shoot it...... I mean.. smash it.

For a few years, I have been using this little technique.

Step 1: Leave the lights off.

Step 2: Use a flashlight with about 100 lumens to shine parallel to your walls, ceilings, curtains, and furniture. If you have light-colored furniture and walls this will help, if you have dark walls or furniture... this probably doesn't work.

The reason for shining it parallel to the walls etc is to find the intruder more easily since it casts a little shadow on the wall.

Step 3: If you finally see the intruder. Blast it with the power of the sun. This will give you enough time to kill it. If you use just a few hundred lumens the intruder is more likely to fly away.... In my experience as a mosquito catcher, the high power lumen blast works best!

What is your technique?

There could be another step... before step 1. And that is actually switching on a flashlight in 1 corner of your room. It is likely that that mosquito will go and check it out, so you have more chance to find it.

I don't actually kill the mosquito with my flashlight..... just so you know.
