I ordered my D4Sv2 3 days ago, is it normal to not get a tracking number by now? I know I shouldn’t get in any hurry for a light coming from the other side of the world, but I thought it would have shipped by now.

This week nobody works in China. Are holidays. I am in the same boat.

I have several shipments in limbo as well. Looked it up online and they are currently in a holiday called National Day Oct. 1-7. Things should start shipping after the 7th.

Oh yeah I forgot about that. Thanks

Possible confusion. This thread is about the D4S, but the question appears to relate to the smaller D4 (no S). The SS bezel for the D4S is the same for the v2 as previously offered for the v1. It can be purchased separately and retro-fitted. I have done just that.

The SS bezel for the D4 (no S) has only been available since the D4v2 replaced the v1. Hank said it is unlikely to fit a D4v1. Apparently it will fit only a few of the very late D4v1 specimens. It does not fit my D4v1 from the middle of the production run.

Hmm. Mine fits my D4V1. Not sure how old it is tho.

Mine shipped 9/30 and the tracking says “Shanghi sent to JFK” on 10-1.
But I don’t know if that means it is just sitting someplace.

It’s the same system that in the D4V2 but with Ledil lens the mix colors of RGB looks more better.

Anyone order the D4Sv2 with the LittoKala 5000mAh 26650 cell? I did, and then saw where some LittoKala cells are fakes. Is the one from intl-outdoor.com legit? How would I know?

I am relatively new to flashlights. If you were to get one, what LED setup would you get? Traditionally I like cool white – neutral and would love suggestions since I don’t know the specs of these leds yet.

Cheers-

If you want sheer power, go for the XP-L HD 1A (cool white) (or 3D – neutral white, will appear slightly dimmer to the eye but this is the one I have, the output is still nuts)

If you want warm white and accurate colour rendition at the expense of output, go for the SST-20 3000K (the 4000K is too green, IMO)

Notable lights: Q8 with 4 x 3V XHP50.2, bypassed springs, brass driver and tailcap screws, Anduril firmware, removed anodisation, AR glass, warm white switch LEDs (16,800lm)  |  Convoy S2+ with triple Luxeon V 4000k, Led4Power B4 Driver, Carclo 10507, bypassed springs (2900lm)  |   D18 in sand  |  D4V2 in sand  |  D4S in grey  |   FW3A with warm white XP-L HI  |   KR4 Mule in blue

Mine came in today. It was shipped 9/30. Total of 11 days. Must be a new all time record.
That being said, THIS THING IS A BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!
It makes my D4V2 look dim by comparison, and this is in daylight.
A little big for EDC (OK, a LOT big for EDC) but what an awesome light!

The aux LED’s seem to be about the same brightness as the D4V2. I think there are dim and bright settings, but I did not get into that.,
I got the black one, and I have to tell you – the pictures do not do it justice, It is quite attractive in person. I usually go for the E07 style of light, but this one looks good in person. May have to get another one, lets see how it looks after dark.

Took it outside to compare to some other lights in the dark:
Way brighter than the E07
WAY brighter than the D4V2
The closest one cell light I have is the Astrolux EC01. Close but NO CIGAR.

Compared to the Thorfire S70S upgraded with an XHP 70 6500K, darn close!
The amazing this about this light is the beam is very wide and bright, giving it both great flood AND great throw.
I am just blown away.

XPL-HD.
And the beam is pure white. No blue at all.

Could you take a picture of D4SV2 and D4V2 beams compared on the same exposure? I’m just wondering since they both have the same LED options, so the only difference between these two is the optics and thermals. edit: and battery of course.

In theory, the D4V2 should be as bright as the D4SV2 at startup.

I have a D4SV2 SST20 3000K and it is blindingly bright. Ordered some D4V2 SST20 5000K and 4000K for EDC and work.

I am kind of frustrated. I put my order for an E07 and the Emisar D4V2 26650 on the 8/30. One from Nealsgadget E07 and one from https://intl-outdoor.com.

The one from Neals still says Unfulfilled and the guy from outdoor.com at least responded to my emails and say he will ship the ligth but still show as processing.
I know Neals is very well recommended here but he does not answer a single email from me and still show Unfulfilled. Sad

I hope is just a bad understanding or somehow he is not getting my over 6 emails.

Again is my first time ordering to China and i dont know how is the deal.

Saypat, on these new lights you get to choose and change the color of the auxiliary led. Look at the UI pic for more info.
