so is the Golisi 26650 4300mAh (gold rap) the best choice for these?
That’s what I bought for it. They are rated 35A and they are known to actually achieve that number. There’s also the Samsung 30T but I like to always use the largest cell the light can handle. They are a bit pricey though, I just paid $9.99 plus $5.00 s&h from vapewild.
Edit: Not sure if this light can take anything other than a 26650, I just assumed as most do.

My NI40/SBT90.2 of the first batch stock “is not ship because of the shortage”, order #8378.
In mi account that order continues appearing FULFILLED.
The tracking number that appears corresponds to the previous order (received).
Two last PM sent to Neal, on December 6 and 12, with no response.
Neal was in BLF 4 hours ago but did not deign to respond…nor correct the order status in my account.
Summarizing…
Without any change in the situation.
Neal continues in radio silence.
For now I have lost interest in this light and it is on the shelf until work is done on it.
I hike every night with my friend Randy and his Dog Max. Randy and I both love Turbo when on the hiking trails. I get enjoyment for 2 minutes of Turbo and then it is constantly stepping back up to Turbo every 60 to 90 seconds. It becomes Very annoying.
My Mateminco MT35[FT03] XHP50.2 NW has Narsil. I disabled the step down. The light never got too hot even in August.
When my NI40 is able to do that, I will enjoy it more than the MT35 because I like all the other aspects of the light.
I had filled out the form and submitted it, expected a notification when the lights would be ready again. Never happened, which is ok because I too have had so much problem with Neal getting it done that I no longer care to make a purchase if he’s involved. Sad but true.
So I’ll be looking for the 90.2 and will build my own Stalker if/when I find the emitter. In the meantime, the one I have here works pretty well with the original SBT-90. (built a driver for it, hated the UI)

What? How you do that? My XHP50.2 NW FT03 gets hot quickly and definitely can’t sustain turbo for 4min+

Ran it 10 minutes on turbo tonight, changed battery and repeated. Not even close to hot. Temperature was 25F/-4C.
In the warm weather I can do the same. I have a high tolerance to heat. With this light by the time I pass the 5 or 6 minute mark the battery is certainly weakening along with the output, resulting in less heat.

Isn’t there an NTC that can be removed from the driver?

I do not know. I do not know how to work on these lights like a lot of you. A member on here is going to make positive changes for me. Completely eliminating step down, new driver, bypass springs ect.
I have 2 orders from Neal but since it was out of stock I asked if he can replace it with one Acebeam K30GT since I can’t wait anymore. He agreed and I received it in 3 days.. Also uses the same LED, SBT90.2

That is a nice light. It goes for $160 compared to $70 for NI40 SBT90.2
I hope he gave you a good discount for the time that you waited.
The K30-GT is a MUCH better light than the NI40 SBT90.2. While the NI40 has a great host design for heat shedding, the driver sucks with an agressive step down. Also driver efficiency is nowhere near as efficient as Acebeam driver. Though I don’t have the K30-GT, I have many other Acebeam lights and I can say their driver efficiency and regulation is much better than any of the budget brands making them more practical for use as tools.

I agree. This one throws further and has more output compared to both FT03 SST40 and XHP50 that I have even with a smaller head. Step down is not agressive as the light will get so hot to touch within a few minutes of turbo. I might still get the NI40 SBT90.2 version if the stock issue has been sorted out.

The driver does suck! Like they say, you get what you pay for. In all fairness it is less than half the price of the K30-GT. Like I said a few days ago, it is on the shelf until it gets re worked.
Where you get the battery from?
I love my wife’s toy poodle
interested new guy here
Vapewild.com
the LEDs have been "dicovered" by many manufacturers and are hard to get atm

I have two efest batteries but they seem to be too long to fit. I feel like it’s compressing the spring way too much.

There are many other batteries that will work well and have already been mentioned on this thread. ALL 26650’s of course
Vapcell 5500mAh,Orbtronic 5750mAh,Shockli 5500mAh
For a bit more output and Less capacity:
Golisi 4300mAh, Aspire 4300mAh

What version Ft03 is that?
It was the xhp50 version.
Ahh ok. The sbt90.2 version comes with the stainless steel bezel. I was wondering if you had one already.
I see. I just bought the Bezel from Banggood.

Yes this is really a nice one and he gave me a discount. Since my order is 2 pcs of NI40 SBT90.2 and he shipped it express.
