WTB P60 host

Looking to replace my LF Seraph 2-cell P60 host. The ergos are just not right for me, I’d like something more traditional yet still 18650 compatible and I strongly prefer having a lock out tailcap… Let me know if you have anything you’d like to get rid of!

Bump

I’ve been toying with buying a Seraph SP-6. What didn’t you like about the ergo? From the description, it appears to be like Surefire’s.

Years ago, I did some work with the Ultrafire WF-502 and 501, but I don’t recommend them for anything fancy. They’re a simple tailswitch clicky and can be hard to make work with UIs that use quick clicks or half clicks. I’m also looking at the KD host, but have no experience. At $14 it seems a little pricy, so I’ll probably get one with an emitter.

Best -

Right now, you can get KD’s triple XP-L Hi with the E6 host for 6 bux more! Good deal and if you go with 4000k, they are using 5A3 tint bin. One of the best XP-L Hi tint bins, IMHO.

Triple XP-L Hi with E6 host.

My orders from KD have been shipping and landing pretty quickly as well. I forgot to mention, their new P60 brass module design in singles, triples and quads is really nice. Have bought several just to cannibalize them.

FYI- the UI description from KD does not match what I received. My triple has 4 light modes and double click goes to blinkie. There is no turbo.
I also have the KD quad drop-in and it is different. It has 4 modes, double click goes to high (there is no turbo) and triple click goes to blinkies.

This is what is shown on Kaidomain.com-

Very Lo (1) > Lo (5) > Med (30) > Hi (100)

Double Pressed: Turbo

Triple Pressed: Strobe (8Hz)

(with memory mode function)

That will not matter to me a whole lot… If I don’t like the driver… it will get a 17mmDDm or a 17HF. The shells are the nuts for P60 users!

The KD triples use a 20mm driver…

Interesting… I have some of the new style early production singles that use 17mm drivers, have replaced a couple.

Yeah well triples are 20mm (just under)

Wow, that will make modes easier!

Two things. The head flares out making it just a little wide and the body tapers to the tail a bit… but my main issue is that the tail switch is, effectively, shrouded. Very inconvenient for the way I hold it, thumb just doesn’t do the job nicely and I actually switch to more of a cigar grip when using it. Otherwise great host, top notch quality and construction.
