Ive already made couple of spam posts here so let me just introduce myself and the reasons why Im here :)
Any real dude needs to have couple of good flashlights, no doubt about it, I just never thought about how awesome all this led-flashology is until recently!
Couple of years ago I got myself few of those 1$ "1W Police" flashlights, and while surely bright, they had sh*t build quality as far as switches are concerned, all it took it to stop funcitoning was one small <1m drop and it stopped working forever.
Those that still work need their tail cap unscrewed by some bit and then screwed back together to make the flashlight shine on its maximum.
Around Christmas I saw couple of Fenix LED's at local military store and also had a chance to try out during Christmas how awesome is real thrower with aspherical lens, it was with riffle mount meant to use for hunting.
Needless to say that I was sold on all this flashlight business!
I started to research Fenix brand, found some very good flashlights and realised that for my needs Id need some AA&AAA for EDC and some bigger ones just to keep flashaholic in me under control.
Yeah, my idea was that I will need some good 100$ to get good universal flashlight with good throw and decent lo-hi modes and some small EDC with it, boy Am I glad to say how wrong I was after discovering this place!
There are so many CHEAP and AWESOME flashlight made by less known brands yet with the same quality as big names!
Yeah, all these recent weeks Ive been searching online for all AA/AAA EDC flashlights, which one is the best etc and so on and so forth, CRAZY!
Was eyeing Tank E09 and Fenix E01@DD when they had them for <12$ and <11$ respectively, but didnt buy neither because I wanted to wait for Tanks review before ordering one. Now they are more expensive but still Im looking at Tank, Kreisler, finish your review ASAP, Im waiting for verdict and runtimes as well as beam shots :D!
Ok, not sure if Ive made myself clear and whether I have posted some relevant information, but Im glad I joined and be sure Ill be spamming these boards in search for my perfect AA/AAA EDC flashlights as well as multi-AA thrower, dont want monster flashlights(although they are dirt cheap, umm!)with lithium cells for now, call me cautious, but ill stick with generic AA Eneloops for now :D
I work for IT@helpdesk(shit job, I know, looking to change things in the future tho) and planning to become a volunteer wildlife ranger, I love nature and eco living and this feels like natural thing to do, next step in my strive to do something about our planet.
Yeh, some bit of hippy rambling LOL :D
Oh AND btw, Im broke, as usual after Christmas and all the gifts giving+I dont live in the wealthiest country in the world, I live in Latvia, its not that bad, but I could earn bit more to ease my technoholics needs and purchase more gadgets and things I dont always need :D
(I have 4 Sipik 68 clones on order, I wish I could get 3 mode one, but none of the ebay sellers ship to Latvia, meh!)
