2020 NBA Finals

Would you agree that this time the Golden State Warriors GSW won't win the title again?

Opening week is now. In the first game GSW got crushed by L.A.Clippers at Golden State OMG. With Durant gone, Cousins gone, and Thompson out, there's only Green and Curry remaining, what a joke.

So who are the favorites for the title now?

I haven't made up my mind yet, the field seems wide open.

The Patriots, they win everything.
Brady is retiring and going into the NBA.

You might want to wait for Feb.7th trade deadline before picking your finals favorite. A lot can happen between now and then, like Draymond Green imploding, and DeAngelo Russell getting a haircut and deciding he might want to try playing defense for a change.

I'm hoping a Los Angeles team does well.

Right now, the Clippers look pretty good, but I hope the Lakers can get their stuff together to make it to the playoffs as well.  :THUMBS-UP:

Was a good game. Booker drops 30, and Baynes was a beast

The NBA Playoffs started yesterday.

The Lakers play tonight.

I usually just watch the Finals, but I think this year I will watch at least some of the Playoffs.

So far, the bubble has worked, in both the NBA and NHL.

I hope it continues to work.  :-)

Yep, most people think that Jordan is the best of all time.

While I agree with that, I really liked Kobe Bryant when he played, and I really like LeBron now.

I think there's usually going to be a superstar (with charisma) that I will love to watch play.

update…

Charlotte Hornets radio play by play broadcaster John Focke has been indefinitely suspended by the team after a tweet on Monday
about the Denver Nuggets that did not include the word “Nuggets,” but instead a similarly spelled, very different word.

see the “word”:

You really have to spell check your tweets, buddy!

"That word" is not so PC anymore, to put it lightly!  :))

Is it due to the politics of pro athletes?

The young team the Vancouver Canucks all the way.

The Toronto Raptors has a good chance to regain the title.

To anyone that is not watching the games live:

Avoid this thread until you are caught up because there are spoilers in here, including this post.

I saw the two Lakers games.

One game was close for some good stretches, and the Lakers won the other game.

So each game was good in its own way.

I prefer close games where my team wins, but what matters to me most is my team continuing to advance through the Playoffs.

In the first game, a Portland player bumped into LeBron James and got a mild nosebleed.

The player said that was the first nosebleed he ever had, and he thought it was kinda cool that it was because he bumped into LeBron.

I thought that was pretty funny, and I am glad that the Portland player is okay.  :THUMBS-UP:

I saw the Lakers games 3, 4, and 5 (in Round 1.)

Games 3 and 5 were frequently close, and the Lakers won games 2 through 5.

I just hope they do as well in Round 2.

(Games 3 and 5 were the most entertaining of the series, for me.)

After getting spanked in Game 1 of Round 2, the Lakers evened up the series with an entertaining win in Game 2.

(I'm really enjoying these Playoffs.)

I didn't see it, but the Clippers lost in Game 7 to the Nuggets.

(I really thought the Clippers would win the series.)

So it's going to be the Lakers and Nuggets in the West, and the Heat and Celtics in the East.

I'm still rooting for the Lakers, but I hear the Celtics in the East are very good as well.

Pulling for the Nuggets, Heat and Celtics. Anyone but Lebron.

I just saw Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

The Lakers won, and they're going to the NBA Finals!

The East still has to be decided, but I'm happy for my team in this moment.  :-)

LAKERS vs MIAMI HEAT

Congrats to LeBron James. He joins a mediocre team (last 10 yrs without playoffs participation) and all of a sudden the Lakers are back in the playoffs and now in the finals. Just crazy. Playing against his former team which he led to four consecutive finals. I don't recognize any name from the current Miami rooster except for Iguadola.

I wish LeBron to win the title.

I wish LeBron to win the title.

I grew up in Los Angeles from the mid-60s and was going to Lakers’ games when Wilt, Jerry, Elgin and Gail were playing, so I’m a huge Lakers’ fan, but I’ve lived in Miami for 35+ years and so I’m also a Heat fan.

Either way, I win, but I’m pulling for Miami!

Go HEAT!

Chris
