450 Lumens, maybe? On sale at banggood.
450 lumens from a regular AAA alkali line battery?
Even a decent efficient LED with 160lm/W,
85% driver efficiency
we are at 3.3W for 450 LED lumens
and 4W for 450lm OTF, as we need about 540 LED lumens
looking on an AAA cell discharge
even when full they drop almost instantly to 1.2V at 2A, I would say that they can’t deliver 4W long enough, as the ANSI rating is measured after 30s
NiMh should be able to deliver 4W but the voltage drop is significant so that’s >3A discharge current
