I agree with earlier posts that the throw is probably overrated. 1500 meters, 562.5 kcd - it's amazingly accurate, not 1510 meters, not 1492 meters, but 1500 meters exactly --- hhhmmmm.
As said earlier, this light is probably re-using one of TA's FET+resistor bank driver designs, so yes - NarsilM is the firmware, and yes - it should be possible to port Anduril to it. If I had time I would do it myself, but I just don't have much spare time lately.
FWIW I contacted Banggood via Live chat and Emma said NW will be available November 28th.Sounds a lot better than December 31st.
“As I could check the product is expceted to be restock till November 28, 2019.”….her grammatical error and all!
Hold on a second. She needs to investigate further! Maybe she is confused about Restocking the light VS. Restocking/getting the NW LED? Then again, the lights[6500K] are Not out of stock so maybe she is right.
“I have forwarded the request on urgent priority bases to our team and they will look into this and you will get the information within 48-72 hours. I request you to please wait for the given time period”.
“We are sure about it, but I have forwarded your concern for more clear informtion.”
I’m still waiting for the NW version, which should be available from the day after tomorrow (28th) if the latest information still stands – very interested in this light, but probably won’t be able to afford it until after xmas (and obviously only if they manage to get the 5000K SST70s by then).

Dec 31. You heard NW model will only be available next month.

@FREE ME. Thanks for the code. I am sure you are very busy but I can not make a decision until I get an answer about the availability of NW.As I mentioned in post # 27. I am interested in NW Only. When will that be available and how long is the code good for? Thanks
@ Flying luminosity-The quote above was from post #55 on November 10th.
In my post #64 Banggood told me November 28th. It does not surprise me that, that was incorrect.
It looks like we just have to wait until December 31,,,basically next year until we get NW.
The positive is we get to see members measurements from the CW as members get them,,,probably soon. That will ultimately determine if I get it.
If it is not at least 12000L/400Kcd/1265M throw I will not get it. It is advertized as 17000L/1500Meters of throw/~565Kcd.
Still waiting for members to get their CW and test it. From scrolling through the posts looks like some got shipped on 11/25,,,,18 days ago. Maybe some before that! They should be arriving soon.
IF 12/31 is a true date for NW to be available, looks like the end of January would be when we receive it.For obvious reasons, I want as much winter time left to enjoy it.
even if its doing 13k lumens or so, it still looks like a pretty good deal for money…. so from the looks it probably throws in theory 1,3km or so..
whats the free gift ?
You are Right, I got my HT70CW a few days ago and measured 255.600 Lux and 12.680 to 13.500 Lumen (powered by 8x Samsung-30Q button top battery).
Greets
Thanks, that’s pretty much what others were expecting. I wonder whether using 8x VTC5A would result in an increase in brightness?
I made a second measurement with 8 NCR18650GA and I got only a few Lumen less, 12.340 to 13.150 Lumen with this batteries. The difference to Samsung-30Q is only 350 Lumen…

Thanks.. I do not have the talent to mod, but have always had a good eye for CD[Throw] and guessing lights measurements.
From those multiple city light polluted photos I could tell this light did not have any more intensity than my modded M2× [250Kcd],,,,that is just what you measured. They advertised 1500m/~565Kcd. The light is Only 66% of that,,,255Kcd/1010m.
To me that is a great disappointment. NW numbers will be even less. P26A/VTC5A/VTC5D will make a little difference,,,but completely negligible by eye.

They rated it at 563kcd…like seriously wth. A single SB90.2 would be able to do that, not four domed SST70s. If they drop the price to $100 I think it’ll be a pretty good deal.

Agreed. But we “can not” expect them to do that[Lower price] just as they “can” expect some Not to buy it because of its totally exaggerated throw/Cd numbers.
As we know they advertise 1500M/563Kcd throw when it is only ~ 250Kcd/1000M throw. That is a farce! I would have accepted 12K Lumens, which it appears to be and 350Kcd/1183m. I can not seem to accept such a drastic difference in what they advertise and what we are getting.
Also, when others get this light, I do not expect the numbers to be that different than the ones that have been tested by members.
I knew by the intensity, or lack thereof, of the beam shots on those buildings that it would be hard pressed to hit 350Kcd. The beams on those buildings of Mateminco MT35 and the NI40 SBT90 are just as intense as the HT70. Those lights are ~ 220Kcd to 250Kcd.That was my first clue and the numbers of tested lights so far verify that.
Basically it performs comparable to the MT09R, but with a bit more throw due to different emitters. I have no interest in this light as I don’t want to spend extra on 8 dedicated cells and an 8 bay charger specifically for this.

The batteries and/or chargers are not the issue for me. It is the light.
What about 2 × 4 bay chargers?! I have 5 × 4 bay chargers. I know not everyone does, but I would think most people have more than 1 × 4 bay charger?

my guess using sony high drains should give a bit more lumens.

Remember that flat top will not work. The batteries have to make contact from head to tail.

8 bay charger, huh. That’s necessary?
It should run fine on 4 cells, if that helps you any.

I asume that much lumens its kinda bad to just run it on 4 cells dont u think ? better runtimes run with 8 imo.
