glad you found a solution that works for you..

curious how long the eSwitch stays charged, when you unscrew the head?

almost sounds like you would enjoy an AAA Cu Maratac body more…

I would consider receiving a CU Tool body in trade, if anyone wants one of my AAA Cu Maratac bodies,

AAA Cu Maratac body works with the 219c head from the drop Tool:

eSwitch stays charged. Because if you press the button while the head is loosened, you’ll find the light goes on when you tighten the head. So the on/off mode change happens due to the switch still having power. Cool

yes, and yes

you already asked before, here:

my words and pictures online cannot really show you what you need to see

I think you should buy both, and decide for yourself.

Love my N219 Tool Ti and my N219 Drop Cooper (although I’m not a fan of copper patina, sure does look sharp new!).

you can make copper lose its patina, even inbetween the knurling, by soaking the light in ketchup.. but, that produces a dull pink color, not shiny. Basically the vinegar in the ketchup, and the acid from the tomatoes, etches the copper.

when I want to polish my copper, I use a jewelers rouge cloth, or a yellow sunshine cloth. It only gets the high spots though…

I was thinking of getting another one. And if for normal emergency purpose, will the cree gives more usable light or is negligible. The Cree will suck tint wise. And I don’t like cold white.

But will it be more helpful in dark basement or dark building car parking space.

Well just received the nichia. I think the middle mode is plenty bright. No need to go the xpg3 route.

And middle mode is really important I think. So in future I’ll be getting light with 3 mode also. Maybe another drop, this time a brass one.

Yes, they’re great clips.
I’ve put the ebay page into my watchlist since months ago but he doesn’t ship to my country.

I didn’t bother to ask the seller, just imagining the shipping fee will be not cheap.

the preon clips are now on sale for $9 for two

shipping will be about that much,
ask the seller, he is very helpful and I believe he will mail to you.
PM me if you want me to remail to you

Here is my latest clip install, it is deeper carry, and I am very happy with the hatclip configuration. (bezel up for handsfree clipped to a hat brim)

I added an extra O ring between the lens and reflector to install the clip above the brass pill.

IF I had a thin metal washer, I could install below the brass pill.
I tried making a ring from steel wire.. it was too thick and the light did not work.. The extra washer under the lens is working well..

ps, the CuTool is no longer on sale, but that did not stop me from ordering another one.

Ordered the 2 clips. But I can’t seem to find a Tool AAA Ti Nichia anywhere. But the clips are just right, and I’ll find a use for them. One can go right on my Tool AAA Cu Nichia.

I have bought the blue Ti Tool from Drop.
The color of this blue Ti Tool is not as (solid) blue as the edges of this post, for instance.
It is more like a blueish haze on the titanium surface. Nothing like the blue Sofirn.
I am (a bit) colorblind, and I like them both.

He referred to the ebay international shipping program, but that’s not offered at least in Germany, so I’m stuck. Told him, no answer Sad .

Yes, the clip looks nice, good finding.

Did you guys feel that the button below the steel cap is a little offcenter? Or its just mine? The steel button on top sits flat, but when you press it, you can feel that the underlying button is a little offcenter. I hope I am able to describe it correctly.

You’re right, the switch is actually not centered.
