Does anyone have a complete list of all models old, new , discontinued or know a place to find such a list convoy lights are what got me into flashlight modding and I would like to buy at least one of every model thanks

I don’t think you want to do that. By memory I think there’s an S2, S2, S6, SO, M2, M3, C8, C8, L2, L6, M21A, L21A…

And dont forgot to buy every color of S2+ :D. Also Simon is coming with a lot of new models for 21700 battery these days.

Speaking of Convoy, I have a question: was there ever an S1 model?

Convoys where my first flashlights as well. I bought a bunch of C8’s, S2 and two L6’s.
My start on budgetlightforum was seeing the blf video signing up on the interest list. I never thought I would spend $1,000+ on multiple flashlights for me and Friends. Did not see that coming…

I have an L1 that is sadly no longer available - takes either 1 or 2x18650s, with a deep reflector slightly larger than an M1 and an LD29 driver under an XML-2.

It’s built like a tank; brass sleeves in the head and tube; opposing threads in the head (left hand x right hand) to precisely snug things up exactly where they need to be - a wonderful light! Very easy access to mod, and a tube long enough for 2 protected Panny 18650B’s. Even the trim is nice, with a stainless bezel and a smooth stainless tailstanding switch ring.

I have no idea why they were discontinued, I only ever saw them at Fastech, and then only briefly a few years back.

I got a C8+ host for my Dad for Christmas with the Astrolux A17 driver and SST40. Wow what a nice light for only $16! I am blown away with the quality of the machining, threads and anodizing. I was so impressed I ordered an S2+ host for Mom with the same driver and led. I tested it and the C8+ easily blows away my Dad’s Magcharger and Streamlight Stinger he carried as a Sheriff in output. That quality of light easily costs triple of what I paid, plus modding is super easy. I’ll probably get one and drop a xhp50.2 with Matt Smith’s Fet driver for myself.

Xhp50.2 in a C8+ with Samsung 20s is good for close to 5,000lm at 18amps and about 3,500+ in a S2 at 15amps mtelectronics.com sells fet drivers like Matt but for about $9 and you can choose your firmware

That’s pretty insane. 5000lm out of a single cell 5050 footprint led. I bet it gets hot fast. I looked at the mtn drivers and they seemed nice.

Yes gets very hot fast in a M21A with a Samsung 30t and the drivers from mtelectronics are basically the same as Matt’s but the positive wire go straight through the driver board to the spring so you get higher current/amps I get about 2-3 amps more for some reason with the same led and battery

I think you missed out the Convoy S2+.

The Convoy S2+ is a slightly different flashlight than the Convoy S2 (in your list is S2 but not S2+).
S2 has a slightly deeper reflector than the S2+ and thus has a bit more focused/throwy beam pattern.

Didn’t know there was a Convoy L1 and L5. Tried to Google both of them but only found reference to the L5 (looks like a discontinued model, similar to the X3 which seems to also be discontinued).

I wasn’t able to find info about the Convoy L1 — any link where you found this model?

some other infos:

S21A = 21700 version of S2+ (ie. nearly similar head size, S21A slightly bigger)
M21A = 21700 version of C8/C8+ (M21A and C8/C8+ have same head size)
M21B = 21700 version of M1 (M21B and M1 have same head size)
L21A = 21700 version of L2 (L21A supposedly has same head size as L2)

M21C and M26C appear to be new models that have a head/reflector size in between the C8/M21A and L2/L21A.

Focused, I agree. Throwy, not so much. Mostly the deeper reflector only tightens up the spill, the hotspot (with an XM-L2 and orange peel) is about as wide as with the S2+.

If I didn’t already have two S2’s, I’d order one with an SST-20 and smooth reflector. The beamshot of this config should be interesting.
