Recs for a USB power tester?

I’ve seen folks making posts about their USB tester and always thought they were nifty. Now I’d like to get one to test some chargers and such. Any suggestions for a budget unit?

HKJ recently tested this RD AT35 (upgrade from AT34) very well.

It is on aliexpress for under $10, i.e. here (did no extensive search):

The Ruideng aliexpress Store has the RD UM24 or TC64 both around $10 and are good all around units. If you want data logging or Power Delivery support step up to the TC66.

If you want something inexpensive and functional to test your chargers etc and don’t want to purchase from aliexpress these are ok-ish for the price if you treat them with care. Plus they come with usb A and usb C ports for convenience: Amazon.com

If you’re looking for something fancier with extremely accurate reading consider looking for YZXSTUDIO, AVHzy or Power Z meters.

Would like one that does both USB A and C since C is becoming more common

If you’re testing power supplies, you’ll want a load as well.
You need a tester that can display the D+ and D- voltages, preferably one that can test every charging protocol and give you a list (eg DCP, CDP, Apple 1A, Apple 2A, QC, PD, Samsung AFC, Huawei…)

I have an RD AT35 and the HD35 load.

If your budget is around $10, I recommend the AT35. It is $10.80 from the official RDTech aliexpress store —> 6.69€ 52% OFF|RD AT34 AT35 USB 3,0 farbe LCD Voltmeter amperemeter spannung strom meter multimeter batterie ladung power bank USB Tester|Multimeter| - AliExpress

My one complaint is the small .96 inch display. There is a lot of information on that display and it isn’t easy to read.

If had this to do over, I would have ordered something from the UM series. Read the descriptions carefully before ordering.
