The free shipping question is always tough. You’ll notice any site that offers free shipping also has much higher battery prices. Batteries in particular are expensive to ship, especially when it’s just a couple of them, and especially when like us you follow all the regulations. By having the customer pay for actual shipping costs or a little lower, it’s the best way to offer the lowest total prices for everyone.
This does mean to get the cheapest deal you may need to play with quantities a bit. Some quantities are really expensive to ship per battery, like 5-10 batteries.
Also as an FYI, if you order low quantities and get offered first class or priority mail “with free gift” and choose that the free gift is actually pretty sweet…it’s a Cree XML-T6 equipped flashlight. We include this to meet USPS regulations that lithium batteries can only ship with a compatible device but we take a big loss on it.
